Thanks for the info about the interview Bill, I look forward to reading it. I also look forward to seeing how Harrison tackles Dune Messiah...that is probably my favorite book in the Dune series...I consider it the Empire Strikes Back of Dune, very dark stuff.
As far as the synth thing goes I just think that on PW the synth is overpowering. I think it is more of a production issue rather than a riff issue.
I mean Signals is a very synth driven album, but the synth doesn't seem to overpower the songs, on PW it is very overpowering in my opinion...
I have to chime in on the PW vs MP debate. Anywho I think that in PW the use of synth became too central to the music. I know synth was used heavily on Signals and Grace Under Pressure, but the use of it on PW was very overpowering in my opinion, almost overshadowing.
It still is a great...
I am very glad to see the good reviews. I too think this album is the best they have put out in years, in my opinion the best thing since Moving Pictures.

I think Terminator is a damned good movie, but honestly when I popped the dvd in...
I don't think any version of the original Trilogy on LD is worthless. I think you got a good deal, the book isn't that big of a deal.
The sound is PCM stereo and can be decoded into Pro-Logic.
I own all three sets as well. Actually I have picked up all three within the last 2 years. I would hold on too it.
I doubt the extras on the set will ever be included on a future dvd set.
Plus it is a nice big boxed set...you don't see that kinda stuff on dvd, I actually got into LD after dvd.
I didn't see any threads on this so I figured I would just praise this new edition of this wonderful film. I am quite tickled to have this gem on dvd finally.
I just want to praise the people who worked on this disc because the transfer, and the packaging is wonderful.
Anyone else in...
I have been following this story since its begining and I have to say shame on you Universal.
I want to pick up the repressed DTS version but I really don't think that I want to give my money to a company that doesn't have the guts to admit it made a mistake.
