Ron, WOOHOOOOOO!!!! I still can't believe I won. You sure this isn't some sort of evil trick? Spent all week moving into our first house and painting our butts off. Get home from work and catch your email. You made my week. I was just about to start saving up for a second SVS and poof. You...
Does this game allow for linking xboxes? If so anyone try it out yet? Dogfitting with 8 or more people would be sweet. I need something fresh for our Halo gettogethers. Andy
Rachel, I absolutely agree. I bought a tiny cheap lcd screen to navigate the dvda menus then turn off the video section. (gotta save my projectors life span). But my main concern is SACDII. Will new audio only sacd's be available when SACDII hits and will the new encryption scheme be...
Phil and Keith, Thanks for the information. I just read the HighFidelity Review article Re: SACDII and I think it's best that I wait. Since it's supposed to be announced in September, I guess I can wait a couple more months and confirm the backwards compatibility of SACD II. Man, so many...
Well I'm finally fed up with waiting for DVDA titles that I'd be interested in so I'm taking the SACD plunge. For around $600 or so how would you rank the audio properties and features of the following: a) Sony 555es (used)-tough to find but possible, I think b) Sony 222es new or used...
Thanks Ed, very informative answer. Better output down low. And less placement issues. Now all I have to do is sell the 20-39. Unless, I totally misread your post. Thanks, again. Andy
Anyone with ideas? I'm thinking of either getting a second 20-39cs or getting the PB2plus. Two subs would potentially be more flexible but I assume placement issues come into play. Which would give me more output in a fairly large room? thanks, andy
Sorry to ask this in your thread, but what is everyone using for their video settings, specially the block and mosquito noise stuff. Also where is the rp82 "accurate" on its brightness and contrast settings? Andy
Jason, Did the dlink work for you? It's on the list on non-compatible routers on the xbox website. It also happens to be my router. How'd you do it? Just asking before I buy xbox live. Andy
Thanks for the responses guys. Well I finally took the plunge and went out and bought some cheap RCA/BNC connectors and ran the xbox through the Quadscan. I hesitated hooking up the xbox to my HT system because I thought it wouldn't work. Well, boy was I wrong.
Halo sounded awesome. You guys...
I believe that the Palladiums were one time Stereophile favorites. Before I got my Aragon 8008x3 and the 8008BB I remember reading that they were ALMOST as good as the palladiums yet they were best in class AT THAT TIME. So for whatever it's worth, I believe they were considered one of the...
Did you check out www.alphadigitaltech.com ?
I believe they are a subsidiary of Tara Labs. Don't know about the amps though. The website should have some info.

Any ideas. It's for my boss and he doesn't want to spend on expensive cables and DIY is out of the question. So, where and what kind of component cables can I buy for cheap. Quality is not so much an issue for him. Rat Shack maybe?
TIA,
Andy
Thoughts on the best for $700-800? I'm buying one for my brother in law. He's no audiophile or videophile but just in case he becomes one I don't want to look bad after the fact.
Sony dvp 7700 or Denon 2800 or others?
Andy
