I had been wanting to pick this one up for awhile now since one of my friends introduced me to this magnificent show. Needless to say, I grabbed it with nary a second thought.

    Walmart Blu-ray Deals $8-$15

I scored the two disc 30th Anniversary special edition of Close Encounters of the Third Kind on Blu-Ray for $15 there a few weeks back, which was quite the deal, I thought.

    Arranging DVDs non-alphabetically

If someone didn't mention this, I would have. That said, I organize alphabetically, keeping various collections together (such as Criterion, etc.), with box sets TV sets in a seperate spot. Seems to be working so far. I like the organizing by genre idea. If I get bored some weekend, I might...

Take it from me, someone who was forced to watch this last night by my "friends", the only option that's right is to not get it at all!

    Where is ANDY HARDY?

I currently have Love Finds Andy Hardy on DVD and a few others on VHS. I imagine that they would take quite a bit of remastering work, and would be particularly time consuming since there are 16 films (not counting any shorts or anything), so I imagine it will take a while to get them all put...

Win a copy of Superhero Move

It's the same old story. Boy finds girl, boy loses girl, girl finds boy, boy forgets girl, boy remembers girl, girls dies in a tragic blimp accident over the Orange Bowl on New Year's Day.

Has anyone seen a movie that uses the "Real 3D" process?

I didn't experience any eye strain or headache effects at all...very pleasant experience overall, I found.

What's your favorite Hamburger Helper flavour?

My favorite is the Tomato Basil Penne, which I made once with Italian Sausage instead of Hamburger with interesting results. I also like the Cheeseburger Macaroni and Stroganoff ones as well. In fact, I had some of the Stroganoff one for dinner tonight. As a single guy, those things work...

    Brad Renfro Dead at 25

Such a shame...I was shocked to hear the news. I knew he had problems in the past, but hadn't heard anything lately...I've enjoyed his films, especially The Client and Apt Pupil... Such a shame, he was a talented actor, for sure.

    Anyone seen the movie "Clue?"

I just showed this movie to a couple of my friends a few nights ago. I'm not sure if they loved it as much as me, but they seemed to enjoy it... But yes, so quotable... I seem to enjoy the three endings together on the home video version better, but that's just me...

    Minneapolis Interstate Bridge Collapse

Incredible indeed... there is something oddly chilling seeing a bridge you've driven on hundreds and hundreds of times collapsed like that. Something surreal too, seeing the city you live in featured on BBC news for a story like this...

The Ongoing Wal-Mart $4.88/$5.50/$5.88 Bargain Bin Thread

I also quickly snatched up the 2 disc edition of Escape from New York, expecting it to ring up at a higher price (I actually checked it on one of those price scanner things first), and also found a copy of Escape from LA in the same bin, so one of these days, I'm going to have to sit down and...

Live Free or Die Hard (2007)

Well, Bruce Willis stated over in the TBs that the majority of the stunts were done practically, not CGI, and certainly I know they probably worked on the car flip bit for safety reasons (but it was still pretty cool...), and why would Bruno lie to us?

Live Free or Die Hard (2007)

Folks, check out the article link below. They look at the upcoming summer movies, and mention LFoDH, mainly why it may not be a big hit. The main reason? It's R-rating. http://www.comingsoon.net/news/movienews.php?id=19904

Live Free or Die Hard (2007)

Okay, as far as I can tell, nothing is official as of yet. They have not officially announced a rating yet. That said, I am pulling for an R rating like everyone else here.

Live Free or Die Hard (2007)

I also have to agree that this feels a little removed from the other Die Hard movies, but I will reserve final judgement until I see the finished film... still I was totally flipping out in excitement while watching the trailer when I saw the following: "Did you have something you wanted to...

    Looking for some movie reccomendations...

I consider AH along with Purple Rose of Cairo, Hannah and Her Sisters and Crimes and Misdemeanors as Woody Allen required viewing. Others probably have their favorites. Personally, I'm also fond of Manhattan Murder Mystery and Everyone Says I Love You.

    AMC Best Picture Movie Marathon

Well, Chucky, I think it depends on how badly you want to go. If you see waiting and there being the possibility of it being sold out as an acceptable risk, then by all means wait. But, if you really, really, REALLY want to go, you may want to buy your ticket now rather than later.

    "WOW!" Moments, 2006 edition (Spoilers!)

I have to agree with a couple I saw on here. Children of Men: As it has been called on here, the "Walk of Hope" just flat out blew me away, an incredible, moving scene. Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest: I loved the water wheel fight so much...it was great. United 93: That...

How do you start a really good fire in the fireplace with real wood?

I have actually stopped using newspaper most of the time and found this really great stuff called fatwood, it comes from the stumps of logged yellow pine trees, all the sap from the roots gets pushed up into the stumps leaving a strongly concentrated wood that is naturally flammable. You can...

    Stranger Than Fiction

I caught this one when it was first released because the premise intrigued me, and I must say that I loved, loved, loved it. I didn't even have a problem with the ending because at the end I was pretty much begging Karen and the movie to spare Harold's life. That's how involved I got with these...
