Meh. With just 3 episodes left really not interested in yet more "Gene" scheming.
Wasn't even all that into the Walt/Jesse stuff. As cool as it was to see them I don't really feel like any of it filled in any gaps and it was just kind of crowbarred in.
The best part of the episode was Mike...
Gotta say, as engaging as the episode was on its own, not all that interested in just more Jimmy scheming in the Gene era this late in the game. Hopefully it's setting up something big but I have my doubts.
One thing I didn't understand was when Kim told Gus Jimmy talked Lalo into letting Kim go instead, Gus seemed to have a lightbulb go off and then went with his men to the laundromat. What did that information trigger for Gus? Did it make him realize that Lalo didn't care who he was sending...
Have to admit I forgot this show was even still running and have no recollection of how the last season ended. I'm sure I'll watch it at some point but definitely not pining for it.
So are you saying you think that sequence took place post-Breaking Bad? I was thinking it was pre-Breaking Bad. I don't think Saul would have had all of those possessions during the Breaking Bad era.
I haven't been watching but happened to turn it on right at that point. At first I thought it was definitely a bit (Smith definitely slapped him with an open hand), but that was no audio/video glitch. There is also a history there - Rock poked fun at Jada back when he hosted several years ago...
I just watched season 4 episode 4 and I think I'm out. The writing and acting is just so bad and I feel like all the story arcs are just retreads at this point. Season 1 was more focused and the nostalgia of it made up for the shortcomings but that can only go so far.
Yeah, this is no better than the drivel they gave us the last few seasons and in many ways it's worse. I actually hope they kill Dexter off just to put an end to it for good.
The only thing I didn't like was Vindman was an epically bad actor to the point where I would get lost in the dialogue. I suppose it's fitting that he was as bad an actor as Maria Sofia.
I totally saw that coming with the house husband but it was still much better than some of the other lazy tie-ins like the ear plugs bit.
The funniest part of the episode was Leon's answer to how he felt about 'Little Women'.
I agree. As far as the petty stuff Larry fixates on, this one was WAY down the ridiculousness scale and it is totally something I would question if my significant other (or anyone) did that.
Stuff like this definitely makes me appreciate the format of the Netflix's and Amazon's more of just releasing the whole damn season all at once. I'm less inclined to subscribe to the other services for that reason, or at a minimum wait until the entire season is over and then subscribe.
Yeah I'm aware of who she is too but never watched How I Met Your Mother and not into the Marvel thing. She played the role really well.
I can't think of a single character in this series that came off looking even remotely okay. I suspect the real Monica wasn't as vulnerable as she was...
This episode was a little uneven but some really funny moments, including everything with Leon. Part of me thinks Leon needs more scenes in this show, but part of me thinks it's probably better the way it is and the impact is greater with his 1 or 2 scenes.
The whole thing with the "actress"...
I'll admit I did enjoy it somewhat, but I can understand the gripe about it just being a retread of what we've already seen.
I don't think I need to spoiler this since it was all in the episode, but I will anyway because I know some people can't stay away from a thread before being caught up.
Funny, I thought the first episode was way better. I don't care for Curb episodes like this one where he tries too hard to tie themes together (in this case the ear plugs) to the point where it just insults the viewer's intelligence.
