    Denon AVR X6200W keeps restarting

Did you adjust and of the CEC settings? I just switched back to a Denon and forgot that they will click right back on if they don't like other devices CEC (in my case my Vizio and s760H don't play nice).

@ Gregg, got to do, what you got to do! I've been trying to sell these things since January. @ Bakammer, sadly I've sold them just this past weekend and for much less than what they are listed here for =(.

    Orb as surround speakers?

I'm currently using Mod2s as my surrounds due to space constraints (in lieu if of Klipsch RS3s) with RF3s/RC3 for the front stage + an SVS 2030PC+, they work well enough though the difference is drastic compared to using the RS3. I'm actually going to move to full orbs, sell off the Klipschs...

FS: Orb Audio 'Mod2' 5.1 system - Austin, TX

http://www.orbaudio.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=3 Sats are white, mint condition, these were used for ~2 years, wall/ceiling mounted from day one and out of reach. Only used (rarely) for cable tv/kids DVDs, I don't think they've ever been pushed except for when I first tested them...

Can RP really compete with LCD?

LCD TV are the 'cheap' HDTV, that is why they sell. The masses know that it will be 'better' than what they have.

    Cheap multi-zone 5.1 receiver

I'm curious if there are any alternatives? Onkyo, HK, Yamaha, etc. that offer the same functionality? I wanted to do a bit more research, but I am not sure what this feature could be called other than powered Zone 2? Any suggestions or additional models that you might now about? Thanks again!

    Cheap multi-zone 5.1 receiver

I just dug up a post from another forum that had this same solution (7.1) but did not list any models. I could boost up the dollar amount and hopefully nab one for decent price. Any suggestions? Sadly, no old A/V kicking around (anymore).

    Cheap multi-zone 5.1 receiver

I'm completely new to Dual Zone functionality =D I would imagine that a DZ would cut power to the 'main 5.1' setup and direct juice for the 2.0; powered but the same receiver? Ultimately, contrary to what I said before, I would like to do the following: Run the same source to set A and set B...

    Cheap multi-zone 5.1 receiver

I'm not looking to have them play at the same time, just A/B. I found this: http://www.accessories4less.com/cgi-bin/item/ONKTXSR503 Seems to fit my needs, in the running as I have not found anything else!

    Cheap multi-zone 5.1 receiver

I'm looking for a no frills 5.1/DTS Dual-zone (2nd zone is 2.0) cheap receiver to be used for kids movies/tv/music. It needs to have component x2, optical x2 at minimum, LFE out, not sure about wattage, but the speakers will be micro bookshelves at the largest (eyeing Orbs Mod2 all around)...

    Dedicated HT room (finally)

Factoring in surround sound (sound is equally important to video, come on guys ;)) , so yes, I will have the seating forward of the rear surround speakers, this is part of my issue, screen placement, couch, surround, I'm going to be left with 6-8, perhaps less depending on screen/furniture...

    Dedicated HT room (finally)

I found the actual dimensions of the room: 11' Wide x 15' Deep (not factoring the Alcove space which is 5'4"Wide x 8'5" Deep) for the seating/viewing area. Take into consideration the seating and depth of set/screen hanging, the seating area would be less (just guessing) than 8' or right...

    Dedicated HT room (finally)

Thanks for the response, Jim. There are two options for a FP, screen where the flag is with the FP mounted here: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...derecho021.jpg furthest wall away (cable run would be an issue and as I am not interested in doing any construction just yet). With the FP there...

    Dedicated HT room (finally)

We moved yet again, this time to a house that has a 'bonus' room, the only 'upstairs' on this ranch style house. NOTE: Furniture and current set in the shots are not mine but the current occupants. Sadly, as with my other homes that didn't have a dedicated room, this space is not ideal...

TV shuts off playing a game, doing a specific thing in game

Panasonic CT-32HX40 32" TV - older set used in the bedroom. I have house guests so I can't use the good gear in the living room. Anyway I moved my XBOX 360 into the bedroom to get some game time. With the set and 360 set to 1080i and playing the game Enchanted Arms, when I get into battle...

    Any Outlaw 990 owners here?

I've been with Outlaw since the 1050, 950/770 and now the 990/770. Great sound (and bang) for the buck. No complaints at all!

    XBOX360 DVD player?

I wonder how good the image quality of the XB360's DVD player will be compares to $200-300 standalone DVD players. I've had a Panasonic RP56 for 3-4 years now, I'd hope that the chipset in the 360 would be of higher quality given the time passed. I guess this would be more geared to HTPC...

I think I am going to downsize...

I never once complained about the sound of them, I like the Klipsch sound. I merely stated that if possible I wouldn't mind switching for something 'different' sonically. As for the wife, well she can either fight the fatigue or take a smaller hit on the funds :) Seriously though, it takes a...

I think I am going to downsize...

AlanZ, I'm guessing that the 5.1 setup is what I am going to have to go for given the room size. I've thought of going to a 3.1, but I know that I will eventually go to 5.1 so I am just trying to get that right off the bat as I make video games for a living and more often than not, I either...

I think I am going to downsize...

After doing some research as far as dimensions go regarding surround speaker size, I am at even more of a loss now. Rockets, Dreamcatchers, Take 5s, Axiom's, all have surrounds that are too big for my space (as we'd rather not use stands. In addition, I've sorted out a few other needs...

I think I am going to downsize...

Sorry, bose isn't an option, thought that might have been clear based on the gear listed =) That Energy systems looks like the right size, I might be able to go a bit bigger if needs be, but if it's small and sounds great it size doesn't matter. Any other reccomendations?

I think I am going to downsize...

Great suggestions but none of them will work, the mags look great, but they wouldn't work for us as surrounds given the windowed/sliding door area, we don't want to block either of them. As for in-wall gear, that's too much of an effort right now, we'd focus on the kitchen if we were going to...
