Stop me from going crazy. Did New Jersey participate in the Powerball lottery for about a year? I believe it was either 2001 or 2002. TheONLY time I ever bought tickets was for Powerball. It was all over the news at the time about the high winnings. I remember my girlfriends father at the time...
Can I use server side includes with http references? For example, I use a server side includes for the logo and navigation menu. These items are referenced by http, rather than file path, since I have different levels in my directory structure. This makes it easy to reference a link or picture...
I've been interested in buying a street bike. Since college, I've always had my eye on Harley's. This will be my first bike, I want to go cheap, but new. For the record, I grew up riding dirt bikes and 3-wheelers (before they were banned), so I have experience. Of course I'll take the...
:frowning: I've had Jazmin for just over 10 years. Recently, he (yes, female name, male cat, long story) started drinking more water and urinating more. I decided to take him to the vet for the first time since '97. I stopped taking him because he absolutely HATED needles. Plus he's an...
Hi all, I currently have JBL N38's as mains and the N-Center. I'm using old Advent mini's for surrounds and have N26's for surrounds which are not currently hooked up. My receiver is an Onkyo 595. I'm thinking about upgrading my speakers. I prefer NOT to buy speakers online, so it limits...
I've been playing this game online alot. The thing that bugs me are the people who take shortcuts. Like on Jerez, the final turn, people but across the infield, a massive on is on LeMan, the turn after the chican, some just completely cut that turn out :frowning:
After one race the winner...
Just what the title says. I downloaded an early demo of UT2003 a while ago, and noticed all those maps are on UC for the Xbox, and the gameplay, weapons, etc... are the same. Are there any differences? Is there a way to have the PC be a dedicated server to run UC games? That would be nice...
The earth is flat!
More proof!
The second link has a link for WHY they think this, but when you click their link for "Fighting the Evidence" (disproving it's round), it's under construction :)
How ignorant/stupid/dumb can people be? I'd love to sit in on one of their meetings.

I guess I'm not surprised a thread on this low-budget, independent film has not been started. It's only showing in NJ, PA & DE, starting tonight. If it's well received, I'd assume other markets might get it.
Is anyone that knows about the Jersey Devil, and lives in the area looking forward to...
We all get them now and then, but I've had one in my left eye that has been recurring for the past 4 days. What causes this and am I developing some kind of medical condition? :frowning:
Also, is there a medical term for this? I'd like to do some research on the 'net.
Thanks!

Hi all. I just finished watching one of the greatest war related movies I have ever seen, We Were Soldiers. I need to see more movies like this, if they exist. Anyway, war related movies are at the top for me, and I'd like to expand my collection. I know there are a lot I'm missing. Here's what...
I broke up with my girlfriend whom I've dated for a year and 3 months. This was about a month ago. I should have ended it earlier, but stuck around to see if things would get better... they didn't. Since most of my friends have wives or girlfriends, I knew it would be a long time for me to...
Over the last few years, I have tried excersing every few months. Most of time, I'd workout too hard when starting, then I'd catch a cold, which would usually develope into a sinus problem. After I would recover, I'd lose all motivation to go at it again. Well, recently I started again, and...
Just got done reading the Chinese food thread and talk about what was authentic and what not. It made me think about places I've been and seeing a Philly cheese steak on the menu. It had mushrooms and peppers? And sometimes other crap.
Let me tell you one thing, what makes a cheese steak from...
Hi all,
I just got a new Digital camcorder last week, and this week, I'll be flying across the country to San Diego for my sister's wedding. I'm concerned about my camcorder. I'd like to pack it in my carry-on luggage. Is there any problems with it and the tapes going through the xray...
Hi all,
I just bought a miniDV recorder, the Canon ZR40. I created a post here:
click me!
I have noticed the microphone is so sensitive that it picks up the tape transport noise/hum. Is this common to all miniDV camcorders? If not, maybe I should return this model for one that doesn't have...
Sorry for the OT, but I was wondering if there's a forum somewhere for camcorders? I'm going to purchase a digital one this week, and wanted to find out as much info as possible.
Thanks!

Hi all,
I'm interested in testing the frequency response of my speakers in my room. I've done some searches, and have received little bits of info, but I'd like to know step by step on how to do this correctly.
From what I know, I need to buy, or create a CD with sine waves? On one of my...
I have a JBL PB10, and used VE to calibrate it. I use the standard Radio Shack sound meter. When playing the test tone for the sub, it bounces the needle back and forth, and as I move the meter away from the sweet spot (further from the sub), the sound increases, but the needle still jumbs...
Hi Phill,
I have visited your site before, and noticed you upgraded from the N-series to the S-series. I currently have the N-Center, N38's (towers), old Advent mini's for surrounds, and PB10 sub all powered by an Onkyo 595 (well, not the sub), and calibrated using VE and the standard Radio...
I decided to create a layout of how I have all my equipment connected. Whenever I unhook everything when I do a major cleaning job, I always forget exactly how I had everything hooked up. So decided to create this handy guide for myself.
Any input on changing my cables around? I confused...
Last night I was listening to the tuner on my Onkyo 595 at high volume and I noticed the front left speaker cut out on me. The first possiblity is that somehow, my speaker is damaged. About 2 weeks ago when I came home, I found the speaker had fallen over (floor standing JBL n38), likely due...
As far as I know, all of Sony's decoders contain their "Digital Cinema Sound" that has different modes to create the presense of more speakers. So you if have 2 surrounds to you side, it will simulate having rear speakers and vice-versa. Has anyone tried this and does it work?
I have a Sony...
Like the Pilotwings series. I never played the SNES version, but I loved the N64 version. And how about Blast Corps on N64? Or Toy Commander on DC?
Those were great, original games, with varied gameplay elements. It seems though that the majority of folks aren't into those types of games...
Sadly, I have to bring my new Onkyo 595 back to CC for repair. The DSP mode keeps switching itself for no reason.
http://www.hometheaterforum.com/htfo...ight=onkyo+595
It only did it on cable tv, but yesterday it did twice while I was playing my Gamecube and has been doing it at least once a...
Under the options menu you can select Surround. Doing so creates a wave that circles the room, and each speaker is highlighted on screen, including right to left surround. Now I don't know if it's just regular surround, but my Onkyo 595 correctly played the right rear wave sound and the left...
Hi all,
For x-mas I'll be getting my girlfriend a HTB. She has an old 27" Magnavox TV, and it doesn't have A/V outputs, just A/V in. Is there a way I can get audio from cable broadcasts to work with the HTB? For the record, she doesn't have a cable box. She would be thrilled to get MTV2...
I was watching TV yesterday, and my reciever was in DPLII mode when suddenly it decided to switch itself over to Orchestra?! This happened again this morning. Anyone have similar problems or hear of something similar?
I didn't get the best deal for this reciever at Circut City, but if there...
