Hi,DaViD The R3 version is NTSC certainly. I think a region-free player is necessary. DTS track sound great but i like the sound of the enhanced home theater DD 5.1 on the R1 version. p.s. do you mind if I link to your thread and some of your screen-shots in my R1 review thread...
