HD Video Switching - Inexpensive Solution

I'll amend that and mention that I had some sources that required optical.

HD Video Switching - Inexpensive Solution

I picked the Zektor up on Audiogon last week and it is working out great for me. Good construction, no signal loss that I can notice and easy to use/setup (if you read the manual.) This piece is especially great for me as my TV doesn't have direct codes to the inputs so now I don't play 'Joker's...

Creative Labs ZEN portable mp3 player... opinions?

My thoughts exactly on the iPod. Should be no harm in installing the software although I don't think you can do anything with it unless you have a Nomad connected. As for the downfall of the software I felt that it was a resource hog and I didn't like having multiple interfaces for dealing...

Creative Labs ZEN portable mp3 player... opinions?

I've had one for a couple of weeks now and I like it. Sound quality is good given that it is playing compressed audio and it is pretty easy to use. The buttons are a little difficult if you can't see them as the feel is the same on both sides. The unit is a decent size although bigger than an...

    B&W in New Hampshire

I haven't dealt with Hanover Camera Shop either as I got my B&W's back in the day of Cookin' but I have been dealing with Natural Sound in Framingham for B&W purchases and repairs. Great guys to do business with, good stock, good prices and they have some interesting trade-in policies. Unless...

    Yamaha 2095 Owners.....

Didn't know they were making a non learning Cinema-7, that's annoying. My Cinema-7 has been re-branded as Cinema-7+ which is learning where the plain Cinema-7 is not. I remember having the same input selector problem, but my Cinema-7 was able to learn the code and after that I was all set...

    Yamaha 2095 Owners.....

Not sure about the actual number of digits in a code. I imagine that ultimately that will depend on your remote. I would suspect that it is safe to say that if all of the codes in the cable manual are 4 digits then the 3 digit codes won't work. There is also a fair chance you won't find a code...

    Yamaha 2095 Owners.....

That silver remote is pretty nasty. If you're looking for anything related to remotes I would go to http://www.remotecentral.com as there might be some information there. Search their archives etc... I had a similiar problem with my Yamaha remote - too complicated - so much so that my friends...

RP91 DVD Audio Mode Selection Question

I hit that when I went to watch Saving Private Ryan (DTS version). The default for DD is Bitstream and works fine out of the box. The default for DTS is PCM, so if your receiver or pre-amp does your decoding you need to change it to Bit-Stream in the Action menu (I think that's where it is.)...
