NAD C 320BEE I am selling my amp to move to home theater. I am really sad to see this go. I would keep it but I can’t setup a second system right now. This is a perfect unit. It is very clean – no visible scratches. No operating issues. This unit sounds excellent! I’ve had it for over a year...
Hi, I'm selling my entry HT receiver. I have remote, original box, and manual. The unit is in good condition. No major scratches or any sound issues at all. I've never experienced drop outs on this unit. It does have DPII and 5 channel inputs. No pre-outs. It has A-B speakers with remote...
I have a Prelude (year 2000) - far from being a S2000. The Prelude is not a muscle car - no torque, but when I drive it hard above vtec its a FUN CAR TO DRIVE!! Its because its hard to keep it in VTEC and rev'd at the right rmp to enter and exit into the corners. So when you can drive it well...
One word of caution (or really just to let you know) on PriceJapan. If the PJ does break and you have to use the Japan Warranty you send it directly back to PriceJapan and he'll get it fixed but YOU pay shipping back and to ... but realize this may only cost $200 so overall saving $2000 for a...
Clarification: Is there two preamps?
What would you term, my passive diagram? (useless :D )
Works for me ... passive biamping to me is anything that uses non-active crossover network with two amps per side. I'll need to update my brain on the information above - its sleeping right now...
Makes sense ... again I say its voodoo because the AD/DA conversion is always higher than a CD DAC. But I like to keep the CD DAC characteristic in place as much as possible - hence why I call it voodoo. It might be psychological, but I prefered the sound when I plugged my CD player in the 5.1in...
I second the ET 5.2 or even the older Take 5 (~$500 with a 8" sub) with an extra two speakers (~$100) ... But I'm leaning towards the 5.2 or a bigger sub, because with 7 sats and one small 8" sub the system will sound bright.
Speaker selector is another path ... when I was installing a system. But speaker selectors are so expensive, we decide on just getting a $100 stereo receiver - of course if you have the space. But the speaker selector works fine for same source as inside, and you already have a volume control...
I'm cheap. I would get video essentials or Avia and do the first level of calibration (the basic stuff). If any of the adjustments are hugely off and can't be corrected with the adjustments provided to you, then I would call the calibration man. Just my two cents...
Aaron,
The 1803 for all intensive purposes has 6 amps.
1. One for the left main
2. One for the center
3. One for the right main
4. One for the left rear
5. One for the right rear
6. One for the back center left
7. One fot the back center right
(6 and 7 either running in...
What do you want? What do you listen?
Here is a list of questions:
1. What is your DVD to Music Ratio?
2. Do you want multi-channel hirez music?
3. Do you want 6.1, 7.1, or 5.1?
4. Do you want Multi-zone, multi-source?
5. Do you want Component switching 54mhz?
6. What is your...
What kind of main speakers? Its hard to recommend a setting without knowing the capability of the main speakers or the sub (old kenwood). My guess is that the 100-150hz (is there a setting between 100-200?) setting will provide you with a cleaner sound and more acurate. Do you have Video...
Check the specifications of the minisystem - some of the amps to reduce cost have a lower 3db of 40hz. If it does I would not recommend using it. I would also make sure to run both channels 60watts might be a little low, but 120 should be enough for a small-medium room - most subwoofer amps...
My experience: SACD
I've got a Sony 900v and I like it. I bought into SACD because of their faith in stereo high-rez. All SACDs will always have a stereo SACD track. However, I do think for the mainstream the bigger impact will be the ability of multi-channel, not hi-rez by itself.
I don't...
Can you list some of your other components as well mainly your power house (amp/receiver) and speakers? My experience with sony is that their Redbook CD players are somewhat sterile and cold (I've had the 20ES and have the 900v). BUT please understand that is with my ears and listening with...
After more thought, this is actually an interesting question.
Too much thinking
If we assume that we send equal power to the front three channels, the center will be slightly louder. So to compensate you have to put the center channel further back than the front left and right, but then you...
1803 ... it has 6 channels of amplification. If you want 6 channels HT, you need to buy another amp. Otherwise the 6th channel is assignable to the second zone and it is stereo.
Different Center Speaker Sensitivities
Ah. I would presume that this is not a good thing. As you increase the volume, the center channel will get louder faster than the lefts and rights. But my assumption is that a 2db rating and the amount you HT amp puts out is probably not significant to...
