Free-Roam 2-player icon: Start at the Johnson house. Take Grove Street west, passing under the two over-passes. Just after the 2nd over-pass, hang a right into the dead end block. In the courtyard of the last building on the west side, there is a 2-player Free-Roam icon.
It is easy to determine what the native resolution of an LCD screen is, as all other resolutions will look fuzzy or blurred. On my 17" LCD the native resolutoin is 1280*1024. Your monitor may be the same or higher.
You should call the Computing Services department of your University. It is normally the department that handles such software vendor agreements. Just because the website doesn't list such an agreement, doesn't mean it doesn't exist. They usually aren't advertised very well to students...
This isn't a problem on the Mac end. It's a problem with your cable (hopefully) or the connection in the iPod. A friend had this same symptoms with his iPod. It didn't matter whether it was connected to my Mac or his PC. His solution was to just switch to using the USB connection. There are...
We've got a C64 that I used to play Drag Race Eliminator, Pitstop, and Frogger on all the time during my early youth. Something is awry with it though, so it's currently in a non-functioning condition. :frowning:
Also have a Mac 512k that's "vintage" in GUI OS years. Got it out to play with...
Not true. I've shared the wireless connection my PowerBook G4 has with a friends PC laptop numerous times. Works fine. All the OS does is assign an 169.x.x.x style IP to the shared computer. The computers don't need to be running the same OS.
Using the XY scatter plot with interconnecting lines... - For the data sets which have values for each day, create a series that uses all the dates for the X value, and all the data values for the Y values. - For the data sets which have sporadic values, create a series that has uses only...
All you will need is a wireless access point. Since you already have a router, you won't need a WAP that includes a built-in router. Something such as the D-Link DWL-2100AP (802.11g) or DWL-900AP+ (802.11b) should work fine for your situation.
You don't need to connect the TV prior to booting the computer. If you attach the S-Video cable after startup, open the "Displays" pane of the "System Preferences". With your TV set to the proper S-Video input, click on the "Detect Displays" button in the "Displays" preference pane. A dialog box...
I've noticed that the Mac counterparts of the major graphics programs (Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, etc) tend to have interfaces that are laid out much better and are less time consuming to use, which in turn increases productivity and revenue.
There are various utilities available via VersionTracker.com that will allow you to enable Safari's ability to import IE and Netscape/Mozilla bookmarks. I don't know why Apple hasn't enabled it as a standard feature. My one complaint with Safari is that it will only download 4 items at a...
My parents bought my neice a refurb iMac from Apple a couple of years ago. Been running fine w/o a problem. I'd think as long as you get a refurb from the OEM it should be OK.
I originally had them plugged into a 1st edition QuickSilver G4 w/o problem. I now use them with my TiBook w/o problem. The QuickSilvers have the goofy Apple jack in addition to the standard style headphone jack. The TiBook only has the latter.
I have a Cambridge 2.1 system that works just fine when plugged into the headphone jack. If your subwoofer does not function, I would suspect that something is goofy with it and not the computer.
The AirPort will function with any other 802.11b/g wireless products you may already have (card in PC, access point, etc). It works surprisingly well, especially with the revised antenna placement in the new Aluminum PowerBooks.
Somehow sitting a foot away from my PB G4's screen isn't the same as sitting 10 feet away from our 65" RPTV... What would you do come movie night or if multiple people want to watch? Crowd around the LCD?
Get the router with a built-in firewall, disable all port-forwarding, and be sure to change the admin password. Then, wipe the HD on the PC, reinstall XP, and make sure to disable Remote Desktop. Also, set it up so it requires a password to get on the computer and don't let the kid have an...
Ease of use is worth a premium to me. It's very tough to beat the PowerMac when it comes to ease of hardware installations/upgrades/etc. The ergonomics of it are fantastic. Very user friendly. My mom could even upgrade it if she need to, whereas the old PowerTower Pro clone, which is...
Check with the University you'll be attending and see if they have a computer sales center that sells Apple products. You can usually get a hefty discount when purchasing via the school than directly from another retailer. When I purchased my TiBook last fall, I saved about $300 off of the...
Depending upon how your department is wired you could get a router and switch, hook your department computer to them, and then uplink to the hospital's network. This would put your department on the same subnet allowing you to share while utilizing the hospital's T1 to the outside. I don't...
The first 2 minutes of the movie are it's best part. After that it sinks like a rock. The picture quality may be fantastic, but it definately doesn't make up for the rest of the movie. Glad I got a free viewing...
You can do it, but I don't think you'd really want to. If both computers are using the connection simultaneously your download speeds will be painfully slow.
