hey, that thing about your tv turning itself off was dealt with a few weeks back in a thread here. some guy had toshiba out to his place like 5 times to fix it. there are detailed instructions for fixing it if you cna find the thread.

i bought the store's "performance package" when i bought my 40h80 only because i'd rather deal with a store that is right down the street (i can go and get in their face) rather than deal with toshiba on the phone (who are well known for poor customer service).

as mentioned above, i have the red tint problem but i never had the player in interlaced mode, i had it set for progressive out since go. dont know if this is relevant??? regardless, a huge thanks to obi for looking into this problem and making it his even though his unit is not flawed.
