In Memoriam: Best Brando on DVD...

Deeply saddened by the news earlier today about Mr. Brando's passing. Just making me think about how much I still enjoy most of his films in my collection... So, for some of the Brando uninitiated (both of you), I'd suggest everyone watch "On the Waterfront"... Great SE of it came out a...

Any news on Good Eats DVD's?

I know I'm not the only Good Eats/Alton Brown devotee out there. Ok, now before everybody chimes in that they're already out on DVD, I know this. BUT, there are quite a few 'foodies' and fans of the show who aren't purchasing these based on the cost and quantity/schedule of shows included...

It was right at two hours long and pretty much a bare-bones DVD before being put on moratorium last year. Amazing film...

    Darabont films on DVD... Thoughts...

I will freely and purposely admit to being a huge fan of Frank Darabont. The Green Mile, The Majestic, and possibly my favorite film of all time (if pressed to pick just one), The Shawshank Redemption. Now, all of these movies are in (boo, hiss) snapper cases which is extremely frustrating...

Anime beginner, looking for good starting points...

OK, as I start this thread, please no huge lists of everything anime under the sun here... While now at 430 DVDs, I lack one catagory almost entirely - Anime. In the past, much that I've seen via the box has looked very shallow without much thought put into it. I've seen about four films...
