Well, I finally received my 5 replacement discs after several months of waiting and it turns out they sent me two sets.
So if anyone is looking for the 5 replacement discs for their Most Wanted set (and don't want to go through the hassle of ordering them), PM and I'll send you my set.
Okay, so the 2.0 on the BD is actually the original track. So it is there... but as with Superman: The Movie I can't get the original mix in a discrete format. On the E.T. DVD the 5.1 is the same mix as the BD 7.1... but the 5.1 on the OLD DVD was fine (apart from the "talking" guns) and that...

I posted the below in Robert Harris' thread but thought I'd also put it here in case anyone else cares to check it out...
I'm surprised more hasn't been said about the sound since it's such a well known movie. The audio quality is excellent... but the sound is an epic fail. For the most part it...

The spaceship taking off is thunderous instead of how it was in the original, and...
Wow, great news that the TV version of the pilot is finally seeing an official release. I've always wanted to edit a hybrid of the theatrical and TV version together... so now I'll be able to!
I get why some might not jump on this release, but for me... I'm buying it. I will rail against studios when they make the wrong decisions, but I will support them to the utmost when they choose to make the right ones. It seems to me that Paramount really did the right thing here, even if it's...
Thanks for the info Doug. So basically I would need the PAL set to attempt any kind of correction. I'm amazed that we are still left with the speed up issue, it kind of annoys me.
I picked up this set last week, but haven't had a chance to dive into it yet. Having to deal with PAL speed up on an NTSC release is annoying, but thankfully a lot of people don't seem to notice outside of the opening theme. Is there any method to correct speed up on our own? Probably a...
I was a bit annoyed with tonight's episode, specifically with the last 10 minutes. I didn't understand the need for the guns in going to see the others. First off, Faraday never seemed to be one for violence... and secondly, both Kate and Jack know that the others would have them way outnumbered...
Thanks for the info Travis, I actually thought Chloe looked a little different, but I wasn't sure. So they didn't resume in August and are already wrapped for the season?
Does anyone know just how many episodes were in the can prior to last year's writer's strike? I was curious just when production picked up again and if we could tell a noticeable difference in the episodes.
This is fantastic news. I too wrote a letter of complaint, but am so pleased with this replacement offer that I cannot thank all involved enough. I was in the midst of researching alternate ways to follow the adventures of Richard Kimble, but now I can happily support the official releases...
I really liked Kevin as a character, so I was sad to see him killed off, I didn't see it coming at all. I especially enjoyed Kevin as Sharona's fill-in in "Mr. Monk and the Gameshow"... that was some funny stuff. I do think think that his death gave Monk a bit of growth... he was able to feel...
I noticed a pretty interesting goof in last night's episode upon a second viewing. Right after Vic leaves Aceveda's office, we see Shane walking down the street just before he assaults that drug dealer. If you watch closely, just as two guys pass by Shane, a camera is visible to the right of the...
Interesting theories... I just think Monk is above shocking twists like that. If that's the case, it should be Dr. Kroger and we find out he faked his death! Personally, I would love to see Monk find love again, someone who makes his OCD lower drastically, like Trudi did. I also want to see...
It can't be Harold! They met in Dr. Kroger's office for the first time... so there is no connection there. I'm willing to bet it will be someone in the Mayor's office and it will tie in closer to the story Trudi was working on than to anyone associated with Monk. I'm gonna have to re-watch some...
Yesterday USA announced that Monk's 8th Season will be it's last. While I find this a bit sad, I'm glad the show will be getting a proper send off. We all knew this would have to happen eventually. I'm just glad the show is going out on top. Note that Season 7 continues in January and and...
There is a great new interview with the co-producer of the new CD Box, Mike Matessino at the John Williams fan site. The interview was conducted by a former Home Theater Forum member, Neil S. Bulk (who is also mentioned in the booklet that comes with the new CDs). I found the interview to be...
I enjoyed it for the most part, it was fun and I like the car. The ties to the original series seemed to be very loose and obviously not a focal point of this movie. Many of the references to the original seemed to be a situation of a "plot to be filled in later" than any real explanation. Fair...
I don't know, I read a lot about how this show was so brilliant and creative... but honestly, I didn't see too much of it in the episodes I watched (and I watched all 6 online.) I am a fan of Andy, I think he is inherently funny and just needs a venue to showcase himself properly. I just don't...
I don't like the way Kavanaugh left the show at all... it seemed more convenient from a writing standpoint than a realistic character development. Having said that, great episode... another home run... and I'll miss Whittaker on the show.
I really love the re-occurring theme of self reflection throughout the series. Over the years we have seen various characters catch themselves in a reflection as they gaze in disbelief at what they have become. From Vic to Aceveda, Shane and now Kavanaugh. They catch a brief glimpse of...
Exactly... I think a 13 episode season is what this show needs. I don't think the writing is up to pumping out 20 episodes per season... just too much nonsense and filler that get away from the main story line of the show.
