Anyone else want the 1960 "disaster" movie "THE LAST VOYAGE" on DVD ? If so, how do we go about bringing it to the studios attention ? I love this film and it would sit great next to "THE POSIEDON ADVENTURE" and "TITANIC". Anyone agree? http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0054016/
I am now! Great stuff! Is it me or does Kenny Rogers look completely different now? Has he had some work????;) Diane Lane still looks great of course!:D
I liked the chubby kid... "That ain't no lie!" And along with DIANE LANE and KENNY ROGERS... ...the funny kid from WEIRD SCIENCE and BREAKFAST CLUB is in it also!
I think the only other MacKenzie film I've seen is a 1993 US TV movie called "VOYAGE" starring Rutger Hauer and Karen Allen... I love the treatment that Anchor Bay give their S.E.'s. I'm buying three Anchor Bay films this week... "LONG GOOD FRIDAY", "MONA LISA" (both with Hoskins), and "SIX...

I love this awesome British gangster flick! It's so gritty and cool! I have the old Criterion Edition which is an old non-anamorphic release with few extras. I am so pleased Anchor Bay has gone the extra mile and anamorphically enhanced it and give the film the special edition treatment it...
I have to admit... I found this funny. Shame there are not more extras on the release. Maybe they are holding back extras for the eventual HD release?:D
You didn't like it then? :) Don't mince words Ron. What do you really think? :) I think the singing of songs in rom-coms is in Dermot Mulroney's contract. He does it in "My Best Friends Wedding" as well!
Bought for others... Shawshank Redemption Must Love Dogs Four Brothers War of the Worlds Had bought for me... Serenity Into The Blue Conderella Man Must Love Dogs
I think to be honest... it's more of a DIANE LANE film than a JOHN CUSACK film. Although CUSACK is in it and is quite funny (I thought) it's DIANE LANE who is in practically every scene. No bad thing though!;)
I agree... but there were some quality "laugh-out-loud" moments in this film. The little school kid "it's a gusher!" was funny, as was the Diane Lane date with her Dad bit, and the condom hunt. Elizabeth Perkins had some great lines also! All in all a really enjoyable and likeable...
I really enjoyed this film. It is nowhere near as corny as many other rom-coms and it is a good deal wittier and smarter. CUSACK and DIANE LANE are in good form and the supporting cast was also good. I don't really like romantic comedies but I really liked this one. Thanks for the review...
Anyone else getting this? http://www2.warnerbros.com/mustlovedogs/index.html I thought this was a good rom-com with Cusack and Diane Lane in good form.
