Hey guys... I tried doing a search, but couldn't find anything specific on the release date of Simpsons season five. It seems that with every new season we keep saying 'this is where it really got good' and I think that Season Five has some of my all time favorite episodes... 82. 9F21...
This isn't the first time Universal has pulled this trick, non? But with Ultimate editions - be wary - this one could end up as a double dip somewhere down the line... ...and yes, I can't wait to see the hilarity that hit the cutting room floor put back in...
This is a good point, but I don't think we've seen a movie that has fans beating one another over the head over minute changes and such. You'd have to expect controversy from the gate on this release... That being said however, I do think these are sexcellent discs, I just got...
Oddly enough, I've actually had more defective new discs than previously viewed discs. And depending on where you go to buy, you can usually get all the original slipcases and inserts as well.
Hey folks, I just wanted to start a discussion on previously viewed films. I have about 700 DVDs, and for the first 2/3's of my collection I would primarily buy things new. Since discovering previously viewed DVDs however I have found my wallet burdened a lot less, and I've been able to pick...
Original Languages all the way... but if they do decide to add an English track then I hope they also re-edit the kung-fu fight between Jesus and Satan into the movie as well...
Running a site can be darned expensive - I hope that the Beav will have the chance to re-open its doors. But I wouldn't have gone with Save the Beaver, Shave the Beaver would have been a hit with Internet geeks everywhere...
Hey folks, I also, just picked this one up PV and all I can say is wow. I thought I should revive this thread because this one is definitely a flick that shouldn't be missed. I was pretty impressed with the entire thing overall - including some of the nods given to TFC (especially with the...
Chong - I agree, Signs had a pretty good score. I've always found the theme from Star Wars to be pretty good (remember just before you'd seen Episode I, when the opening crawl started - it felt good!), but I guess that's just the geek in me.
Given the surge of new season releases of the major Fox animated series' is it safe to assume that The Simpsons is going to start plugging out seasons much quicker? I only ask because I love :D PS < www.snpp.com is a sweet simpsons site for those who haven't visited.
I think this one is a pretty interesting flick. Despite the aformentioned non-anamorphic video transfer, the disc does have a few neat features, and as I said it's a good flick too :D
I don't consider being sent DVDs that I haven't ordered part of a great deal As for you PVers - I agree with what has been said - 19.99 is usually too much (unless it's for a more expensive disc). If it's a title that's got a lot in the bin - don't buy it. They usually mark them down within a...
In a perfect world maybe - but it's the age old truth 'c'est la vie'. Studios are out to make a buck over everything else. The best way is avoision and education :D
Since this is turning into a music debate, I think I'll throw in my 2 - To me it wasn't just the music the Beatles made (I don't listen to all of it, but let's admit there's a lot of different styles to choose from) - it was their message which was a unified belief of cultural harmony which was...
Right on Ray O - Rogers actually has some decent indie flicks too (I've found quite a few cool indie pics, as well as some classic B Horror films i.e. Teenage Caveman!). I prefer Rogers to Blockbuster - Blockbuster usually is more expensive - and believe it or not, Rogers is usually better than...
I used to be like most of you - I would go every DVD Tuesday and pick up the latest and 'greatest' at a cost which now makes my stomach cringe. I have a couple of buddies who had started purchasing previously viewed discs, but being the awkward fellow that I am - I was unable to commit myself -...
