Keith, There is very little stress. The amount of force applied to the iPad while in use in the stand is nill. The stand will actually tip backwards before you could push on the iPad hard enough to weaken the stand. -EJ
Sam,
I have not. I've received several questions regarding the Apple case. I need to test it but my local Apple store is out of them and the online store is a 4 week wait.
Just FYI for those who may be interested: EasyStand is an inexpensive and attractive solution to give your iPad the props it needs. ipadeasystand.com -EJ
Played with the iPad today at the mall. I was quite surprised to be able to do so because it was at an Apple authorized reseller. I was shocked to see 3 iPads on display at the shop. We were just cruzing the mall after seeing a movie. They even had several of the 32 and 64's in stock. I was...
I spend a lot of time talking about films and technology (Apple, iphone, ipad, etc.) related topics with friends, family and coworkers so I decided to start a blog. I've had a link as my signature for a few weeks but wanted to officially announce it.

OWC? Their one of the best Apple specialty shops around. I've been a customer for 15 or so years. I've never had one problem and they have good customer support too.

What u need is a way to bridge your analog source into your Mac and then you can capture the video in iMovie. I do this with an old Canon DV camcorder that has an option to convert video out. Once you have the capture in iMovie you can export to iDVD and burn your disks.

Just thought I'd share my impression after a day. This is my first iPhone although I've been a very happy iPod touch (2nd Gen) owner for about 9 months. Set up went as easy as it could. I transferred my ipod backup to the iPhone so I had a minimal amount of setup to do to get things off and...
Yeah, I was wondering about that. I'm thinking that I'll cover the back of my 3GS with invisible shield and see how the screen does sans protector. I have the Power Support Anti-Glare Film Set for iPhone - Apple Store (U.S.) on my ipod touch screen and I really like it mostly because is resists...
If you don't want a case but still want protection try: ZAGG | invisibleSHIELD | Apple iPhone 3G/3G S Cases, Screen Protectors, Covers, Shields, Skins, Invisible Shield Awesome stuff. I've used it on all of my ipods. -EJ
Gary- I'm just trying to understand your goal here. Are you hoping to use the Linksys as an extender to the AE? Or are you wishing to set up dual networks so you can run the AE as an "N" and the Linksys as a "G"? Or do you have something else in mind? -EJ
Ron, I'm considering the MediaSmart Server as a solution for managing multiple macs and hoping to centralize iTunes library, iphoto library and time machine backups. Could you give me your thoughts about the MediaSmart and how it has been working for you? -EJ
Well, it has been over a year since the purchase and Mom's iMac is still giving me problems. I was able to fix the previous kernel panic issues by wiping the system and completing a full reinstall. Now the optical drive seems to be dead, makes loud clunking noises and won't boot a disk. Worse...

Not sure if you've found a solution you like but for minor things I've found Pixlr to be a pretty decent app. Plus it is totally free since it's a web app. Online image editor pixlr free - fix photos direct in your browser -EJ
Yeah, I'm sure Super Duper will do the trick. I just mentioned the TM solution because it requires no extra backing up or file transferring if you're already using it. -EJ
Ron, do you have your current drive backed up to Time Machine? You can easily setup your new drive with all your old stuff directly from the time machine if you do. I used this method a few months ago when I switched machines and it was easy and worked very well. -EJ
You'd have to setup computer 2 to mount computer 1 via file sharing. Then you can point iTunes on computer 2 to the library on computer 1. Then you have only one library and both computers read all the same files. I've used this system for a while and it works fairly well. The drawback is...
Pick up one of these Power Support Anti-Glare Film Set for iPhone 3G - Apple Store (U.S.) You'll never see a finger print again and you're screen will be protected. -EJ
So what mode does the verizon wireless use? Is it a "g" network? If so you should be able to ethernet from the verizon router to the APX and set it up as an "n" network and you'll be back to your old speeds again. I run both a APExpress in "g" and an APExtreme in "n" simultaneously with no...
You need a firewire cable between the mac and bridge. Looks like it can be either a 4-to-6 pin or a 6-to-6 pin. Then you can connect the VCR to the bridge. S-video will be the best (if your player is so equipped) if not the other option is composite (yellow rca) Then you'll need to connect the...
