I have a Progressive Labs CA-1 Colorimeter (aka Color Analyzer) for sale. This is a PC based color analyzer and comes with the colorimeter, cables and software. I'm even including a tripod to hold the color analyzer for free with the purchase of the CA-1. This unit is used to get a proper...
Looks to me like they officially closed up shop. The domain name apparently has been taken over by a different company altogether...www.digitaltheater.com
Sad day for me, The Digital Theater was my first Internet forum I used and was actually a staff member for several years.:frowning:
I own a LOT of the Superbit titles. Can anyone point out a Superbit title that does NOT have a seamless layer change? All of the Superbit titles I have viewed on both a Sony DVD player and a Panasonic DVD player have never had even the slightest "pause" during a layer change.
Same FFW problems here on my Panasonic RP-56. Also noticed the layer change at the very end of the movie right before "The End" pops up on the screen. It still paused but not during the movie makes it more reasonable. Of course if CTHV can make all Superbit titles have seamless layer changes...
The outrage should be when a title is released only in a Pan & Scan version. Since all of the titles listed above are available in widescreen versions as well, what's the problem?
Not to get OT but I found the green keepcase for The Grinch to be perfect for that particular movie. Also, the beautiful Dark Green keepcase for LOTR: Fellowship of the Ring seemed to fit well with the "middle earth" tone of that movie as well.
However, I agree with others here. The green...
More importantly, will the AOTC DVD be a direct digital-to-digital transfer for DVD? Or will we get a film to video transfer like the first Star Wars DVD?
To get really picky, the Austin Powers:IMOM R1 DVD is actually framed at an aspect ratio of 1.90:1. And yes at the 7Min 50Sec mark the scene jumps to the OAR of 2.35:1 for a few seconds.
I don't understand this. How can a loose chip cause crackling on only 1 DVD title out of the over 250 titles that I own? I would buy the loose chip theory if it happened on all of my DVDs, but it only happens on one title. And I duplicated this crackling on a Denon 3300 receiver as well.
Tried this movie through my Sony DVP-S7700 via COAX digital out and tried this through my Panasonic DVD-RP56 via TOSLINK digital out and both had the crackling noise. My receiver is a Yamaha DSP-A1 and I tried it two nights ago in a friends Sony DVP-S360 DVD player through a Denon 3300 receiver...
This movie definitely has some crackling noise in the center channel on the DD 5.1 soundtrack. It's a shame that WB delivered such an awesome picture quality for a 1987 movie, then gave us a faulty 5.1 track.
Odd that you can order BOD from Best Buy.com and get it with free shipping, and it's in stock. But try and find it at your local Best Buy store and nada, zip, nothing!
I guess after the negative response to Artisan's Mars tin for the Total Recall:SE, Paramount decided to cancel the limited edition clam shell disco ball packaging?;)
Me thinks the debate over Coax output has one person talking about Video Coax output (ala Cable TV) and Digital Audio Coax output for bitstream digital audio output.

The HTF, defending OAR from the P&S scum of the universe!
