Most will say that the series peaked after Season 3 or Season 4, but the first two seasons are considered among the best of network TV drama. I'd watch the first 2 seasons before deciding to abandon the series. It deserves at least that.

The large rectangle along the left wall downstairs is the viewing area (2 chairs); smaller boxes above and below that area are the rear surrounds. TV, center and 2 fronts are the boxes in front of the viewing area, backed up against the wall that it shares with the staircase running upstairs...

It's both, sort of. You can pick it up in either a CD jewel case with the extra DVD, or in a 2-disc Amaray case. The BestBuy website seems to only list the jewel case version. The local Circuit City had the Amaray version, which is where I got mine.

anyone else Amaray's packaging come with an annoying white sticker re: CD copyright on the internal plastic cover of the amaray case itself? Physically attached to the outside of the case, and a bitch to remove.

There was an earlier talk regarding an Evanescence DVD. It's being released on 11/23 as a DVD/CD set.

That's what I've heard as well. Talked to Niki Herbert, an executive producer at Tom Snyder Productions, a year or two back and they don't have the rights to Dr. Katz. Comedy Central does.

now if only Dr. Katz would be released......

The blooper reel, mentioned on the packaging and the inside booklet, are nowhere to be found on these discs, right?

Anyone have success at a retailer having the DVD-packaged set in stock? Best Buys in the area here just had the jewel-cased CD Version, not the Amaray DVD version.

Anyone hear of any plans for a Counting Crows disc? Also, would second the recommendation of Corrs: Live in London. Cranberries: Beneath the Skin (Live in Paris) is pretty good too. Nice DTS track.

The show link at tvshowsondvd.com indicates that Seasons 1, 2 and 4 are Paramount, and Season 3 is Buena Vista. Any idea which is correct?

there's speculation over at televisionwithoutpity.com that, mainly due to 'placeholder' links over at amazon, that Amazing Race might be headed to DVD soon. It's a Paramount title if I remember correctly. any chance this might be announced at the conference this week?

What's the best U2 DVD out there? The Go Home one from Slane? Live in Boston? I think the Slane one is the only one with DTS.

Any thoughts on which of the two US released Corrs DVD to get first? (Live in London or the Albert Hall disc). Also, amazon.com is listing the Unplugged and Lansdowne DVD as being released on September 14. Anyone know if these are just imports from Canada? The list price on each is pretty high...

No kidding re: Dr. Katz. I've talked with the producer or director (Niki Herbert) several years back, and it seems that Soup2Nuts didn't have the rights to it any longer..... An email to Shout! couldn't hurt though.
