I'm going to respond to Johnny but I will be using SPOILERS, so...
....last chance...
I did put some thought into the finale. Walt think Nighthorse had his wife killed, Branch discovers that it was actually his father (though Nighthorse is not without some culpability IMO). Assuming the...
Is any of the stuff on the TV show based on stories from the books? I did watch the finale so I want to find out if I could spoil things for myself by looking at the books too much.
One thing bothered me with this episode. The reverend goes to the GR and starts speaking to them about Gladys. Laurie then goes outside and starts blowing her whistle, basically saying they are under attack. She could not tolerate the minister, his message, or that it was not in line with the...
No thoughts on the trailer? I thought the first one was actually a little underwhelming so while I would not say I was blown away by the new one I will say it did a much better job of selling the movie to me. Not 100% sure on Cooper's voice for Rocket though...
Question for those who have watched the premiere episode - what's the tone/content like? I guess I mainly want to know if they went the pay-cable route of having nudity as much as they can fit in. I'd prefer a story strong enough on its own that they wouldn't need to go that way.
While I am by no means rooting for Brenchel to win the whole thing, I am actively rooting for them over Dave & Connor. You were U-turned, deal with it.
At this point, I am hoping for the cowboys, the Afghanimals, and Brenchel getting to the final 3.
Regarding Walter's spoiler,
I have been considering replacing our (dying) 40" Samsung. Not needing 3D and after considering a few other factors, it seems the 55" Samsung 6300 is the set I have decided on. Over the past few weeks, I have seen the set as low as $899 (Black Friday week) to as high as $1199 (just $100 less...
This is specifically to Mike Caronia but also to anyone who has yet to read the books: Normally, I would recommend reading the material before watching, but at this point - given that we are halfway through the season - I'm going to go the other way and say don't. Mike, be sure to read slow...
I would have to echo the sentiment that Robert and a few other have had. Natalie Portman gives a stellar performance but the movie itself did not pull me in enough to push it to the highest level of praise. It was a good film, I would probably rate it an 8, but it is not one I am compelled to...
Last night was just the season finale of The Closer. It has one more season which, if they follow their usual pattern, will probably start airing in late summer.
I'll be picking this up tomorrow for my wife (I enjoyed it a lot as well). Only decision is whether to give it to her now or as a Christmas present. For some reason I am hearing Michael Scott's voice in my head saying, 'That's what she said'...:)
You know, I got yelled at on another forum for posting what I am about to, but I think it needs to be said. The title of the show does not completely refer to the zombies. The primary story in the comics - and I think so far in the tv show - is not to show a group of survivors surviving or...
Also, just because Jenner is trying to find a medical/scientific explanation for what happened doesn't mean there is one. I'm expecting much of that was there to give his character some reason for turning out to be a villain/mad scientist type (and that is just speculation, I don't have any...
Oh, and the NookColor is now available for $249. The test unit at Best Buy was not working but it felt noticeably heavier than the regular Nook they had next to it. The dimensions on the Color are a tad bigger than the regular one so I don't think it will fit in any existing cases too well if...
Cameron, I bought a Nook for my daughter for Christmas. I have yet to open it up but I did buy the M-Edge Trip jacket from Best Buy. I messed with the few they had and this one felt the best. The front can fold all the way behind it allowing you to hold it with one-hand; that seems like a...
http://movies.ign.com/articles/110/1108431p1.html If this is really anything more than an easter egg, I am so excited for where Marvel is going... Spoiler in edit below: EDIT: http://www.superherohype.com/news/articles/104661-sdcc-marvel-studios-reveals-detroyer-from-thor...
http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/herocomplex/2010/07/thor-3d-captain-america-3d-comiccon-marvel-studios.html Here's a story with a new shot of Thor, Odin, and Loki. Reaction on some sites has been pretty negative but I think they look fine. It reminds me a little of when the first X-Men...
You're referring to 2 episodes of The Forgotten, right? How many episodes is PU supposed to run? EDIT: This is referring to Robert's post. I meant to quote him but hit reply instead.
So, was the big reveal at the end of the last episode real or just a Photoshopped image to get rid of Renbe? I'm leaning towards the latter though I guess they could make it work. The main thing for me is that Renbe met the Janet's mother. While I know their relationship has not been good you...
I'm enjoying it so far, but there seems to already be some inconsistent dialogue and a bit of agenda-minded writing. For example: - In the first episode, Janet (the main female character) says she wishes her daughter was captured as well because at least she would be safe. Then in the...
Just a few thoughts/reactions to the finale: - Personally, I really enjoyed it. There were many times I found myself tearing up. I thought the decision to focus more on the characters as opposed to the remaining questions in the story was the right way to go. Whatever the answers to those...
I saw the movie earlier this evening and really enjoyed it. The middle did drag some but at the same time it actually did serve to develop the characters and storyline. I would definitely recommend it and will eagerly buy the blu-ray in a few months.
