I've used a powered sod cutter a few years back and will be doing so again this spring as we start the front lawn landscaping.
They are available for rental and are not too difficult to use. I played around with one to get the hang of it in an area that I didn't care if I messed up a bit...
Thanks Rain.. and you are sure right, now is the time to teach them right from the start :)
What was that oh so famous film you always talk of? ;)

Just thought I'd take a moment today to share that we have a new Home Theater enthusiast in the family. My son and his wife had their baby today... making me a grandfather for the first time..... I swear I heard her say OAR rules on the phone :D

November 22, 1963 I was 7, and at my Grandmothers visiting that day with my mom. There was a news flash that came on announcing the event. I was seating in my Grandfathers recliner watching the events unfold.
July 20, 1969 Again, we were at my grandparents home, gathered around the TV in the...
I too am looking at projectors. I am building my HT at this time. Just finished roughing in the area.
I looked at Sharp this past weekend and it looked very good to me. I need to look at the others yet, and hope that the dealers I visit have them calibrated properly.
Good luck, Kurt
I've done three major things in regards to weight loss.
1. Exercise! I walk daily, and then added weights to the regimine. The point about muscle burning calories even when idle is spot on.
2. Control what and how much I eat. I fix my plate and take it away from the pots/pans it was prepared...
Butter... having grown up on a dairy farm, margarine is a major taboo in the family.
Heinz Ketchup
Home Made Saurkraut vs. store purchased
Old Dutch Potato Chips
Sprecher's Root Beer
Cranberries, not the canned sauce

My wife and I watched this last evening also. I have to agree, she was 'spot in' in her performace. The others had miscues which guaranteed her the 'gold'. She most definately earned the medal.
It was fun to watch her reaction when they announced the final standings :)
While I didn't get hit last year, my wife did, twice. She was out of work for 6 months and she was the major bread winner in the family.
Some of it I blame on the economy, some of it I blame on companies over-reacting to economic predictions.
She did find a job with a county government, the...
Rain, I believe that episode was "The Enemy Within". The transporter split Kirk into two personalities upon beaming aboard due to some mineral that mucked up the electronics, if memory serves me.

I'll second the 'home run' wiring. We build 3 years ago and we ran two cat5, coax, and fiber optic from each room to a central wiring closet just for future use. Cable is inexpensive and pulling it while the walls are open for future expansion worked well for us.
With the popularity of...
I'll chime in with a few on my hit parade.
In no particular order:
Princess Bride
Hunt for Red October
Forbidden Planet
5th Element
My Fair Lady
2001

I agree with a lot of what Eve said.... tis a Hallmark holiday. My wife and I frequently do those small, but really romantic/neat/caring things for each other. I have more fun sending flowers, teddy bears (she collects them) or whatnot just cause more than having a day dictate it :)

ummmm, if you don't want to participate in a poll, don't read the threads :) I've actually benefited from them as I've added a few films to my list of must sees... thanks Rain :)
Work-wise I'm a mix of Radar and Klinger. I'm always working up deals for things we are going to purchase, or doing a trade interdepartment. My humor is more Hawkeye-ish.
