The problem with this set is the EXCESSIVE DVNR. Items in the scene that should move in unison are detached. Don't know how else to explain it. Horrible.

I thought Smith said right at the beginning of the Canadian one that that show was the second one. The first one wasn't filmed or had a problem so they did it again. I agree, skip disc 1 and go right to disc 2.
The best version of this, and a few others of his films, are the French Integral boxset from Film Sans Frontieres. I think Gary has screenshots on dvdbeaver.com. Not easy to get but worth the effort. I highly doubt Kino's release will be better, if even close.
I think any that work in 'keyboard' mode, or whatever it's called, will work. Basically it decodes the barcode and sends it as text just like you entered it via the keyboard. A 'light pen' would be the cheapest route.
I subscribe shortly after the product was released. Once I realized I could use my cuecat (remember those) to scan the barcode to add the movies, I was hooked. Speaking of scanning, I'd like to see an 'audit' feature where I can go back and reinventory my collection and have it show me the...
Universal released a great looking SE of The Game in the UK last year. Very cheap. It's also coming to HD-DVD in a couple of months so a new R1 DVD may be in the works too. Gattaca was supposed to come out on Blu Ray but was canceled so a new transfer could be done. Or so I read. Strange...
The Spanish release is non-anamorphic but has an English 5.1 track. The German release is Anamorphic but only a Stereo track. They both ran 125 minutes (PAL). Not 100% if they are the same cut of the film. The German disc is Long OOP.
Is the 10th Anniv. Edition Laserdisc the theatrical cut? I know it has the remixed 5.1 track, but is the Dolby Surround track that is also on the disc the original mix or not?
I didn't get new cases or sleeves, just discs. But I also only sent the discs. I didn't see any pressing dates or info on the disc art itself, hence the reason for asking. No idea why they didn't respond earlier, I just kept resending the email. It was short a sweet, no harsh tone. I wasn't...

I finally received an email from them on 1/6/07 with instructions on where to send M and Jigoku. Received new copies last week. Did include a nice hand written note. Anyone know if there is a quick way to tell if they are corrected copies (eg: markings on the disc)?
Thanks for bumping this post, missed it the first time. Please let us know your opinions of the PQ if you get it. I have/had the R2J dvd of Face to Face, not that good looking.
TheGreatOz, they did release them without the tins a couple of years ago. Costco sold them in a box set together. However, it might have only been wave 1 they did this with.
Wouldn't be the first time I snagged the last copy form amazon. :) Got the last Gladiator Superbit too. I'll check the region code. I might be interested in selling...
