This is sorta off topic but it's totally Deadwood related: I'm a big fan of the show and I also happen to draw as a hobby so I drew a portrait of one of my favorite characters and posted the results on one of the Deadwood forums. It's a portrait of Dan Dority, the bartender/hit man at the Jem...
My dad's mom's sister (my great aunt?) married Sonny Bono's father after Sonny's father divorced (she became Sonny's step-mom). So how am I related to Cher??:D
Thanks Kevin. I find that when I paint/draw for pleasure I enjoy it much more than when it's a commissioned work. I've never considered art as a profession that I would enjoy since I really dislike people telling me what to draw. I draw only what I feel like drawing. What motivated me to drawing...
I think I put about 10-12 hours into this latest one. Go for it! After a long break I find more pleasure in drawing now than I have in a looooong time.
Hope no one minds me resurrecting an old post, but I'd just like say that I recently finished another WWII plane drawing and thought I'd post it here for thoughts or comments: "Two of a Kind" - Graphite Pencil 11" x 14"
Apparently all I had to do was post here because now it's working again. My theory is the huge amount of smartass particles in this thread absorbed the "bad" particles in my TV.
I got home tonight and went to turn the TV off and it turned itself back on again. I tried the remote and the power button on the set itself and it just turns back on. I even tried using the TV's timer to try to turn it off and it was no good. I unplugged the set for about 20 minutes and as soon...
Thanks for all the great info. I remember seeing the TU-95 "Bear" in the book of planes and thought it looked awesome. Not sure what it was exactly. Something about the aluminum body and the look of planes just before the "jet age" always strikes me.
Thanks Dave. I stopped drawing for years and have recently started again. I guess I just needed a break for a while. Now that I'm doing it again I'm not sure why I ever stopped. I love doing it and it beats sitting around watching TV (although nothing beats watching a good movie on a HT!).
Hey everyone, Over the years I've drawn a bunch of pictures and I've recently started posting them on the web to share with friends and family. On the site I've named each drawing but there are a few that are old and I don't remember the exact name of the model is. If you guys can help me out...
I always thought it would be fun to own vehicles from TV/Movies. A BTTF DeLorean. The black A-Team van The General Lee from Dukes of Hazard The Road Warrir car KITT from Knight Rider
I always thought that old TV shows that were done live were done so because there was no recording media. If that's true, then how do we have copies of them now? And if they did have recording equipment, why didn't they tape the shows and broadcast them like they do now? In the movie Contact...
Hey everyone, Over the last couple of years I've come up with some accessories to deck out my home theater and since I'm a tight-wad, I try to make everything myself. This first project I'm posting was cheap and easy and makes a great little addition to the home theater (and keeps people from...
For me: Gimli's unnecessary belch in a serious scene in Two Towers. X-Men: Storm's whole "You know what happens to things that get hit by lightning" crap. It's so bad I don't even want to commit it to memory. Spider-Man: The Macy Gray self promotion bit.
Healthy Choice Flavor Adventures - Creamy Herb Roasted Chicken http://www.healthychoice.com/product...productId=2061 Actually, a lot of their new "Flavor Adventures" series are good. I wish the portions were a little bigger but for a guy who's trying to lose some weight, these are...
We all know that there were different types of elves in the Lord of the Rings books, but I don't remember this particular guy in the book: http://www.saputofamily.com/council.jpg The guy on the far right (behind Elrond) looks familiar, I just can't place him.
Thanks for all of you help. It turned out to be a sticking caliper. I replaced both of them and no more heat! Drove it for two hours straight yesterday and didn't get nearly as hot as it did before (it used to get REALLY hot after a 30 min drive).
