Does anyone know if these contain any of the special featurtes that were on the DVDs? Thanks
EDIT: Answered my own question...all the special features are carried over.
I pre-ordered IOTBS and High Noon from ImportCDs but they must be on back-order as they still haven't shipped.
We must have completely different tatstes in films as I hardly ever find Amazon competitive when it comes to prices, especially from non-major studios.. Except for 3rd party sellers, I...

Diary of a Mad Housewife

Maybe the Bowery Boys ended up in the same doghouse as Ken Russell's The Devils at Warner
Seriously, it does make me think that there is some other reason we don't know of that is stopping Warner from releasing these on at least the archive format. Years and years of finding better...
That is what I don't understand. Warner requires the Bowery Boys to be in excellent condition in order to release them but they will release better known films in the archives in lesser condition....something about that doesn't strike right.
As a huge Bowery Boys fan, and along with my...
If they allowed the SAVINGS coupon like before I would have ordered 9 films to get the $20 off, but since they aren't, I won't be placing an order as almost $15 (tax included) a film is still too much for me.
I see that Amazon has 2 separate DVD sets which both contain Great Texas Dynamite Chase (one with Black Oak Conspiracy, and the other in the Action Packed set).
here is the link to the first set...
I will definitely want to see some reviews before I even think of ordering any of these. EDIT: Already reviews up for the Stranger, and as expected the quality falls below that of DVDs already on the market.
I've given up ever seeing this from Warner. I'm still hoping that one day Criterion will license this from Warner as that is probably the only way we are going to see this released.
Placed an order as well...I had good luck having my DVDs shipped within a reasonable time frame last time around with DD, so I am hoping for the same this time.
If you are at all interested in classic British films, then it is almost a necessity to have a region free player and start buying DVDs from the UK. Most of them are not that expensive either...under $10.
I am still waiting on 4 shipments from Amazon UK that were sent out almost 1 month ago. I would be more worried if I received only a couple...the fact that none have shown up makes me believe that they will all arive about the same time...WHEN? is the big question.
From what I've heard, it may be region free but some of the extras are in PAL. I can't find a review except by a user on blu-ray.com and he doesn't know the region status. Frustrating
I think this is a great idea and I'm definitely in for Violent Saturday & The Kremlin Letter and maybe The Egyptian
And I will also state my hopes of seeing The Incident make it into the 20.
