It's FARthest, not FURthest, since we're talking distance! OK, now that you all know that I'm a pain in the ass... The farthest I've gone specifically for a show was from Denver to Vancouver to see Radiohead on their latest tour. I cheated by flying, rather than driving. :D It was worth...
I see it as two seperate issues, and have no trouble agreeing with both points. 1) Planned reissues are what I object to. If a movie company plans from the beginning to release a basebones movie or album until sales begin to wane only to release a "good version" (anamorphic, hi-rez, whatever)...
I couldn't agree more. I think that in this case the GBAs really added to the experience. I bought the game last night and played with two of my buddies. I did have to buy a couple of link cables, but each of them have GBAs so it was not a big deal. Keep in mind that you can play this game...
Matt -- If the John Byrne "Man of Steel" trade paperback still exists, that is the origin of the "current" age of Superman. Here is a nice site devoted to the Superman comics. Lot's o' information.
Friend pays $133 for Two (2) Anything Tickets... Are you saying the tickets are $66.50 each? Big deal. Maybe you haven't been to any concerts since 1991, but unfortunately sixty bucks is about the going rate for huge acts. Now if you mean $133 EACH, then ouch. But as someone here mentioned...
Yeah, i have to say I agree with the review as well. I've listened 4-5 more times and while some of the parts of most of the songs are enjoyable, as a whole I find the album to be a mixed bag. I still love the final cut, and I still think the mix seems crowded (not enough separation of...
Well, no one is interested in my rant on the merits of good SACD packaging, but I feel I've helped facilitate some good music changing hands, so I'm all satisfied and stuff. :emoji_thumbsup: I listened last night, and although I felt the upper-midrange was to crowded in the mix, the music is...
That's what I want to hear :emoji_thumbsup: I'm borrowing a Krell SACD player from Denver audio tomorrow, and have friends coming over for a music night. I'm saving this album for then so I can hear it for the first time when they do. Music night!!!
Beck - Sea Change still feels new to me, so can I count it (it's a 2002)? This is my favorite album in awhile. Cause and Effect - The sunrise EP is pretty wonderful. Radiohead - Hail To the Thief. Anyone who doesn't love this album can't be my friend ;) Venus Hum - Big Beautiful Sky is...
...and I haven't even heard it yet. It is a Hybrid, so it plays on regular CD players. It is multichannel so you have the choice of surround or stereo. It is clearly marked on both the front (via stickers) and back that all three programs are present on the disc (saying, "All 11 songs...
Don't most of the networks own cable stations? It seems to me that they could build the contracts such that if a show has a small but loyal following but doesn't work out on a network it could continue or finish its run on cable with a smaller budget. It wouldn't be necessary for sit-coms...
Oh, I understand that Alan Parsons and Yes may not be directly comparable. But listening to one led you to listen to the other, indirectly, and that's good enough for me. I'm a touchy feely music guy. So... are you saying the only difference between 96 and 192 sampling rates is the ability to...
I think the world would be a much better place if more people made blatant and pretentious attempts to make "Dark Side of the Moon II"! :D The HDAD sounds neat. I don't know this album, but if this thread was inspired by a Yes thread, I'll happily try it.
