Bill,
Thanks for your help.
No multi-plexer/diplexer.
I have seperate feeds for cable and sat. I don't have a cable box, the cable goes directly into th TV.
The coax coming from the dish is RG59. The cable that I ran is RG6. They are connected with the RCA amplifier.

Thanks, Matt!
Looks like you solved the problem. Unplugged cable and
-presto- no scan lines!
Now the new problem: What the hell am I going to do about it?
I only use the satelite for premium channels, Music, Sunday Ticket and Pay-per-view. I need cable for the other stuff, plus there are...
I'm depressed.
Got my new 50h81 10 days ago and love it!

I'm sure my problem can be fixed so I figured I'd start here to see if anyone of you guys can help. I'd love to get this taken care of by...

How does good satellite look on it?
Tom

Anyway, I have a 35 inch 4:3 so if it really is 'unwatchable' (which I doubt since my picture is pretty good) on my new widescreen, I'll just have to watch different stuff in different...
Ok, gang. Here goes.
I'm real close to buying my first HDTV. I mean real close.
After seven months of construction, I'm just about finished my basement party room and I've got the OK to spend a couple G's and get a nice big TV. I've definately decided on HDTV-ready.
And, I know I'll never...
