    Advice on a Display Device

I'm thinking about DLP, but am a little taken aback by the thought of replacing the bulb every 2-3 years. I'm willing to go with CRT maybe/DLP maybe/LCD maybe, but I'm really torn by the price of CRT versus what DLP could be.

    Advice on a Display Device

I have a $2000 ceiling for a TV/display device and wanted to get some advice on what some of the contributors here would buy. Just wanting opinions. I will be watching mainly Directv (normal, not HDTV at least yet), Especially NFL Sunday Ticket, DVD's, boxing, etc. Viewing Distance will be...

    What about this set/device?

Sorry to be a pest, but it looks like CC finally has this set on their website: circuitcity.com/ssm/Aspect-by-Hitachi-51-HDTV-Display-51M200-/sem/rpsm/oid/129632/rpem/ccd/productDetail.do It looks like this box has no built-in tuner. Any thoughts to this revelation???

    What about this set/device?

I also get the impression that although this is a Hitachi set, it is being put out under the Aspect name? Could be wrong. CC said they just got this set in on Saturday. Looks almost too good to be true but I know there must be some issues.

    What about this set/device?

Anyone know anything about the Hitachi Aspect APE51M200??? I saw it at Circuit City and the picture was very good and had a great price for 51" set, but I can't find a thing about it. My guess it is a newer set. Anyone have any info???

    The Dilemma

Thanks for the replies. It just seems like a TV purchase is the most troublesome purchases of all. How much thought do you give to the future.

    The Dilemma

I am looking to buy a new TV. Mostly for DirectV and DVD's but I do occasionally play Xbox. I currently have a 36" Hitachi in my living room and a 26" Mitsu (almost 20 years old) in my bedroom. The dilemma is how I should go at this point since I am on a budget for this purchase ($1500...

    The Big Hookup

I finally got my HT so now I need to get speakers to make this fiasco complete. My setup will consist of ONKYO TXSR501 receiver, Polk audio speakers RTi28s, CSi30, FXi50s and Polk small sub. My next task is buying cables and hooking it all up. Since I am doomed to mess this up I thought...

Trying to decide on entry level HT

Graham, John, Thomas! Thanks so much for your help/opinions. I think I will look for those Polk RTi28s and CSi30s for my system. Actually if I can find some good floorstands I guess I could get RTi28s for my surround speakers as well. Thanks again!

Trying to decide on entry level HT

Would either of these scenarios be a decent start for a small home theater for movies and music? Onkyo TXSR501 receiver and Polk R20 main speakers for the fronts. -or- Harman Kardon AVR130 receiver and Infinity PRIMUS150 main speakers for fronts. I would like to run this with a new...
