In Sweden anything costing over $25 (including postage) is liable to be taxed with 25% Value Added Tax plus a handling fee of $15, when imported from outside of the EU. Many shipments slip through, thankfully.
This and Le Magnifique are my two favorite Belmondo movies. I don't think Le Magnifique has had an R1 release either. I own the French R2 release that has an English (and French, of course) soundtrack.
More of Fame (at least seasons 2 - 4) More of Alfred Hithcock Presents and (does anyone else even remember this...) No Soap, Radio (1982) I believe it only lasted five episodes @ 30 mins, so it should be easy to get the whole series on one disc... ;-)
Sorry Mark, Didn't mean to mock you. It was partially a small stab at the "US-centricity" often displayed here ("If it hasn't been released here, it doesn't exist"). But more than that it was a reminder how useful it is to have a region free player. Need I mention "The Invaders"...?
I'm confused. I know I've seen "Mouse Cleaning" quite recently, and I don't think it was on TV. Is it possible that it was included as an extra feature on some WB DVD? If it was, then this makes their decision even more strange...
In case anyone is interested in reading a 28 page (and growing rapidly) thread about this, you can find it at Intervocative's forum, under Technical Support. At least Intervocative isn't stifling the discussion...
Kan Cole has taken DVD Profiler to his new company, Invelos Software, and 3.0 has just been released. Doesn't seem to be quite stable yet, but it's certainly worth a look. http://www.invelos.com/ Version 2.4 (and 2.5 Beta) is still supported at Intervocative.
1) Regarding the LD to DVD switch As I remember it, the major concern was that even though DVD might be technically better, how would the studios market it? Would they go for merely barebones releases to satisfy the VHS crowd, or would they include the extras that the LD owners had grown to...
You may be confusingthis with some other film. Hill/Spencer did several cop films. You may be thinking of Miami Supercops or possibly I due superpiedi quasi piatti which sometimes has been called Two supercops. Confusing, innit...?
Haven't seen anyone asking about one of my favorite eighties TV shows, "Fame". Is it too much to hope for a DVD release? Too complicated music rights, perhaps?
Adventures of Sinbad Angel As Time Goes By Buffy Dukes of Hazzard Firefly Futurama Invisible Man (Vincent Ventresca) Lost World Mr. Show My So-Called Life Quantum Leap S.W.A.T. Sandbaggers :emoji_thumbsup: The Shield Sliders Sopranos Spook (MI-5) and probably some more that...
I had an unauthurized charge on my credit card, but fortunately my cc company is very good at refunding such charges. I'm keeping a close watch on any new charges now, but so far I haven't seen anything more suspicious. I'm still shopping at DVD Pacific occasionally, and I would think that...
