As someone who doesn't own the 40th anniversary edition, I'll gladly take the deluxe version with all the extras in one release. This is also probably the last time I'll purchase this on home video.
Shame they didn't include the CD from that VHS set years ago.
Overall, Warner doesn't seem too...
Haven't read through the thread, but I'm sure dBpoweramp has been mentioned. It uses AccurateRip like Exact Audio Copy but offers a plethora of features on top that make tagging a bit easier. My two cents...
ugh...reading my original post and seeing I forgot to include the actual title. anyways, Avatar was the 'killer app'. I'll have to look back, but the time it took to get released (non-exclusive) was pretty sizable. surely there were more capable displays and players before then. if anything...
Ironically, I kind of hold James Cameron accountable for the lack of 3D's success on the home front. For all he did for the format, he allowed the Blu Ray 3D to be a Panasonic exclusive. I have hard time thinking he couldn't have done something to prevent that. I believe that was your best...
thanks for the continued recommendations. we have actually purchased two copies of 3D rarities, one of which was given to him for xmas. :)
the german disc is on its way as I type this.
ironically, one thing her father always complains about in regards to 3D is the lack of pop-out effects that...
Thank you both for the replies!
I'll go ahead and order these. Hopefully, they'll play with no issues. Much appreciated!
I thought of that sequence immediately when the GF told me what he wanted. We both have that title (his was a gift from us).
m GF's father's b-day is coming up and he requested 3D discs with roller coasters and car racing. . .assuming he wants them shot in POV. i've turned him on to 3D and have bought him plenty of the vintage material. that is actually cool since i get to support those releases with double purchases...
watched beowulf 3D last night which was pretty fantastic. looks like sammy's adventure is awol. . .was half way through it. hopefully they'll bring it back at some point.
Well, that should answer the question regarding whether or not existing formats can coexist with this implementation of auto-stereoscopic. I questioned the technology already, but that just drives the final nail in the deal. What am I to do with all my classic 3D movies? Have this TV reinterpret...
snowmine and norwegian arms last friday.
last october, flaming lips with tame impala and ghost of a sabertooth tiger (fronted by sean lennon) opening for them.
both shows in philly.
Looking for best possible digital version. Heard the current remasters are less than stellar. I don't have anything that handles SACD. Could handle DVDA, but I've heard that might be a sham. Confused as some think it is sourced from the same material (is it?) that the SACD is and that seems to...
Hmm. . .jumped into this thread to see if others enjoyed this conversion as much as I did and found a different topic altogether. Not that I don't have thoughts on the matter. but there's probably a better place to discuss such things. Let me know where that might be and I'll share a thought or...
i picked this up today at best buy (where they didn't receive any copies of the maltese falcon). can't wait to watch it. . . color me surprised as well in regards to the lack of reviews. fwiw, i prefer the original logo as well.
