I'm not big on product placement but this is the one show I think where the characters interest was 100 percent completely and honestly viable.
Wife and I love the show and the writing is very balanced.
Yawn....no spoilers but who didn't see this coming a week ago? Between the Flash Gordon/Blade Runner music and a never ending throw back to old sci fi shows I have no idea what they are thinking.
Meh...It seems to be a massive mishmash of every sci fi show of the past 20 years. When we got to the "Martian Chronicles" flashback I knew they were reaching :) Show needs to be about an hour longer to move things along faster.
Yeah but they didn't all die in the end.... Crappy movie. More liberal environut crap. Oh and don't miss the TWO hurricanes in the parting shots of the Earth.
No you bought tickets to go see Chris Botti....we saw the same show you did. Dianna came out and did 6 songs...6...for $165 for mid level tickets for 2. Thankfully Chris's show was excellent. If he toured on his own and Dianna toured on her own and offered to play 2 hour straight, I'd pay to...
Why is/would DSD be better than LPCM? We bought Chris Botti Live on BD and it sounds absolutely phenomenal. Easily one of the best hirez disc I own which says a lot considering its a live recording. We saw Chris live a week before the purchase and if you crank it it really is almost like...
I can honestly say I never imagined I'd be posting this but...are there any hi-res country stuff out there? Older remasters are better like Hank Sr and the like. Must be a CD/SACD mix, or a DVD with DTS/DD tracks. Turning someone onto hires so they'll demo it here but we're buying it...
We never saw it in the original release. We missed it the two opening weekends and if we could not get into a large theater we skip the movie until we can get it for home. Not being available in BD we skipped it on DVD but did catch it at the local IMAX. WELL worth it. We've seen quite a...
That movie was from 1996? Wow....I remember my wife and I going to see it like it was yesterday. I had no idea 11 years had passed. Of course I also remember reading the short story, basically the first chapter of the book in Discover magazine around 1987 or so.
I am very unhappy with the fan noise and I've tried everything to cut it down. I'm going to wait and see how things go in the winter but in the summer we keep the house at 72 degree's. I've noticed that even my PC, a E4300 OC'd to 3.2ghz, usually silent, is making quite a bit of fan noise. I...
We saw Chris Botti Live along with Diana Krall a few weeks ago at the Fox in Detroit. I had canceled Netflix about a month ago when we joined BB Online. I picked Chris Botti's live concert without even knowing who he was. It was coincidence we bought Dianna Krall tickets a few weeks later and...
I don't get the whole POTC thing...it looked OK but its not the be all end all. I've watched it on a PS3 with a 1080p DLP, it looked decent. Best HD-DVD, Batman Begins, best BD Crank by far. Nothing I've seen comes close to the PQ and clarity. You hit 40mbps in the movie, its fantastic.
5 songs we heard. We did miss the opening because we were waiting for Chris Botti to get our CD signed. But it was only a few minutes so I know we missed one for sure, possibly 2. We were in no rush because in other reviews we read of her concerts they talked abou ther playing for quite a while...
Went to the show last night....Chris Botti the opening act was fantastic. We went out and got to meet him during intermission and got a CD signed. Sounded fantastic and put on a great show all around. Diana's stint was very short, amazingly short, at least to us. We missed her opening act...
We decided to pick up a couple of tickets to Dianna Krall this Saturday night at the Fox in Detroit. Anyone seen her live? Good show? First time seeing her so we're pretty excited to hear her live. The Fox is supposed to be good acoustically. Chris Botti is opening for her.
I would say unless your spending huge money on a DVD player it bests most units out there. I have a Yamaha C950 and have always been extremely happy with it. The PS3 is a visually better upscaler which says a lot consider the Yamaha is also a good upscaler. Audio wise I don't notice a...
Well I'm borrowing a friends external HD-DVD drive, going to try to get Ubuntu to read the disc and play them. I can't believe it hasn't been done yet, although it is talked about a lot.
Having faith in the impending price drop on the PS3 and the fact CC was giving away a free controller with it(starting today) we took back our HD-DVD player to Costco and picked up a PS3. My reasons for doing so were partly the $499 PS3 and the BB BD deal. Netflix has been fine but we were...
I've noticed something about their CD's and I can't figure it out. I listen to them at home and they sound great. I have 2 small subs built into my Deftech 7002's and they can provide a decent amount of bass. Other CD's I had will really get things moving. Their CD's seem to be recorded...
I had this happen a while ago and forgot about it but the problem popped back up last week. We have NIN's With Teeth DVD-A. Around track 6 it will just lock up. I have a Yamaha C-950 DVD-A/SACD 5 disc player. We were watching Beside you in Time on HD-DVD and I wanted to compare audio...
We've kicked around finishing our basement again, mostly for HT use. We do have a high water table and run dual sumps. We're also on well water. The company that installed our water treatment system ran the backflush system into the sump crock. This of course flooded the crock with rust...
Cool....but....with it being DTS MA I'm out of luck, right? What am I going to hear? Is it better than standard DTS? I much prefer something lossless but without something to decode the MA I won't get that will I?
When should we see the first music titles in loss less for HD DVD? I have a decent SACD/DVD-A collection and can hear a great improvement in HD-DVD titles, love to see some music released on this format. Anyone know? I mean studio recordings, not live stuff.
