Jim, you are correct my initial budget was $1000. If it wasn't for your help I would have bought the 1070 and been miserable.
While not pleased about doubling the cost I think the W7000 is the best fit for me and I am going to order tonight.
I'll just use the excuse "You can take it with you...
Thanks Sam, I'm having a hard time dealing with the size and weight of the 8350.
Looking at the W7000 I am good with throw I need to make sure the lens shift is enough to work in my setup. If it does work I am thinking there is real value in the extra $700.
I'm going to give it another night...
I think I am going to go with the 8350. Seems to be that the trade off between dlp and lcd is dlp is smaller & lighter but without any real lens shift. lcd has all kinds of lens shift but is big and heavy. Actually I was pretty surprised how big the 8350 is. Every other piece of technology...
Thanks Jim, that's what I was afraid of. I will start to do the research on the two you mentioned and other lcd's. Too bad, I was really liking the size and weight of those dlp's as well.
My sanyo z4 finally died after a good 6 yrs of service so I need a new projector.
Looking for the cheaper route this time and I'm focusing on the BenQ W1070 with the BenQ 1060 and Viewsonic Pro8200 as backups. Trying to figure out if this projector will work with my setup given the limited...
This show is really starting to bug me. The last few episodes I have been really sick and tired of Chuck's forever innocent, blissfully naive attitude. The last episode with Jill somebody needed to be shot, whether it was Jill for being Fulcrum or Chuck for stealing gov't files to save some...
That's exactly why I like Fringe. The mystery about the pattern and all that surrounds it is not the focus but is still evident in every episode. I have Lost to screw with my head weekly I find this a nice respite.
With all the misdirection that goes on in the 1hr long dramas (Lost, et al) I'm surprised no one thinks it wouldn't be done in a 1/2 hr sitcom where this is really the only long running shocker/surprise they have going for them. I think the woman was just that, a setup to get people talking...
WOLVERINES!!!!! sorry someone had to do it. I agree with you Adam this new season is incredibly fast paced with alot to take in. Without getting too political I really like how it grabs snippets from both the past and present of American history.
I agree it would probably be the easiest to do a send us a upc from your HD DVD player and get a coupon for $ off a BD player. A reasonable gesture and one I would take advantage of if possible. I am one of the Christmas HD DVD people but really the only person I feel sorry for is my brother...
Joe, if you are giving those away I'll take a good number off your hands.;) Even with the announcement I don't think Warner is/can start releasing those HDDVD discs to Blu overnight. Probably is going to take until late 2008 and into 2009 to see titles like Batman Begins, V for Vendetta and...
This is the kind of show that people are going to loathe or love. I loved it and hopefully it lasts (but I don't have that much faith in the general viewing audience). I think Lucia is right the fly wasn't re-killed in time and then flew away. Someone need to take its place and that was Ned's...
What bothers me from that backside shot is: SOME MUSIC HAS BEEN CHANGED FOR THIS HOME ENTERTAINMENT VERSION SOME EPISODES MAY BE EDITED FROM THEIR ORIGINAL NETWORK VERSIONS
Hey Rat ;) thought that picture looked familiar (and still tasty). Small world. I am still salivating over CRAW's ribs and hope I can repeat the process. Mike (Gadgets)
For me it is title availability. I was set to join the blu-ray camp until I realized that Batman Begins and V for Vendetta were hd-dvd only. If Warner is truly moving to being a neutral company, meaning catching blu-ray up on previously released hd-dvd and same day releases in both formats for...
Apparently I am not as well versed in the Family Guy as I believed because I thought it was hilarious that the Asian reporters in FG and Lost had the same name. Subsequently I got slapped down by my brother for being an idiot. Trisha Tanaka = Lost, Trisha Takanawa = Family Guy “Jumbotron”...
Can we start this thread over again? My little brain is confused. boil, braise, preboil, parboil, bake, baste, smoke, carmelize, crock, crack, run it through a warm room, all I want to do is eat. :)
