hi Mark, you may want to consider a professional calibration to get your PJ optimized?
On a related note, I have 1 Epson LS12000 in stock right now. Ready for immediate installation.
your readings are only as good as your tool. My tool a Klein K10A @ $6900 is somewhat suspect for CR measurements.
(although I do understand your concern relating to Sony projectors and image degradation.)
Also, how can any JVC projector [sealed or not] be sold with full warranty online? JVC appears to expressly forbid it.
that is not what the JVC site says. It says
projectors are occasionally sold by online by unauthorized resellers
then it makes recommendations....
The vast majority of JVC PJs...
Good luck with that.
AVS Sales, has the RS2000 in new sealed box with warranty for $5500. This is a killer deal. I have 1 RS4500 in sealed box for $12,700 (retail price $29,999). I also have new RS2100, RS3100 and RS4100 units.
Argh. This sucks. As a seller myself, I'd never let a situation fester like this. While I don't ship with full insurance, I ship w full cost insurance. My company also has full 2ndary private insurance that would cover loss or shipping damage. It is always the seller's responsibility to deal w...
hi guys
The Epson issue is the same as the JVC issue.
Lack of chips, covid factory closures, supply chain issues. High demand.
Epson is now stating units will start to arrive towards the end of June. There is no way they will able to fulfill all pre orders at 1 time, so expect fulfillment to...
The 10500 is a great projector with excellent black levels. It is gen 1 for HDR and doesnt have a huge amount of light out. It will do 3D. If it is on close out or discontinued pricing in the 1500-2500 range it would be a fantastic buy. Since the new epson laser projectors have been announced...
I just spoke with one of my contacts at Epson.
3D is not supported
this model uses transmissive chips for higher light output, but black level performance is equal to 10500
The optical engine and light path are different than any previous model
The 6050 is being disco, 5050 remains.
If the...
Any OLED would surpass all of your old CRT quality parameters (ALL !). It would not even be close, this includes banding posterization, and motion processing.
Hi Ron.
You have an awesome PJ - RS2000. The JVC RS3100 would be its replacement. It would get you a bit more light output and also the laser light source. The price difference would buy you a lot of lamp replacements. I think this would be only a "marginal" upgrade for you.
I am not sure...
late to the party.....
generally speaking....you need to ensure the PJ is mounted squarely and level to the screen. (from the photo, it was obvious that it was not) Ensure the motorized movement (on the JVC) has been zeroed and then move the PJ to ensure the image is square and level. Then use...
Almost all items every where for almost everything is not a rounded zero price. .....
that being said, the price of all 3 models are going up by $1000 a unit starting February 1.
different issues: 1. base model projector 2. price increase.
Manufacturers have to change pricing all the time due to changing currency rates, pricing of parts, labor, shipping costs etc.
this strategy is very similar to the last JVC model launch with the RS1000, 2000 and 3000 PJs, they also released the RS540 at that time with a lower price point.
This was a sweet announcement. Glad JVC will be offering a model that has a MSRP of less than $9999 (soon to be $10999 as of February 1).
Just remember this model will not have a color filter so it will be limited to Rec709 ish when in HDR mode.
i was in a theater 10 days ago with a 7-8 year old Dalite JKP screen. It was melted, shiney, and generally very nasty. Ive never seen anything like it with a Stewart.
Not sure you want motorized if in a dedicated room. Save the money and put it towards image fidelity or audio fidelity. A motorized screen does neither.
