I would look for 32 inch models that don't have the speakers on the side. Most of them with the speakers on the bottom run around 30 1/4 inches wide, if the specs. on their websites are right. :)

It looks like you have all the brands covered that have PLII My thought would be to go out and listen to some of the receivers that you are thinking of getting & decide for yourself which one sounds the best.

$999 for a 36 inch Wega is a great price unless it's a floor model, open box or used set. Are you sure it's not the 32 inch Wega? If it's new I would grab it over the JVC just because when you go to upgrade it will be a lot easier to sell a flat screen Sony than the JVC.
