I think you have to go into the set up menu and assign that optical input to the corasponding device, in your case TV/SAT. All the inputs on the Pioneer are assignable. That is the way it is on my SC-27, the SC-05 should not be all that different.

You need to press the button on the Denon remote that says "Ext In" so that the reciever knows to get it's signal from an external processor.

It's my understanding that most players will not upsacle through componet connections. This was at the request of the studios. There may be some that do, but most only upconvert through DVI or HDMI.

Thanks patrick_s, I found a neat little program called FxVisor from FrameWorkx http://www.frameworkx.com/Frameworkx...on.aspx?id=632 Works very well, it will allow you to use a smaller overlay or none at all.

Has anybody figured a way to either change or remove the arrow icon that indicates a short cut. They are so large they cover 1/4 of the icon. It was much smaller in XP and it was changeable. Any ideas ?
