Yeah really. :-) But seriously, I have the unabridged recorded book of LOTR (read by Robert Ingles which I highly recommend) and it runs 52 hours on 46 CD's although that includes some of the Appendices and the "Regarding Hobbits" prologue. Although of course you can read the book to yourself...
