I have a very new Anthem MCA 525, before this I used a Sony N9000ES. To my ears it was an upgrade.
My pre went from being a denon 3808ci to a Anthem AVM 60 and that was a noticeable upgrade as well. I suspect your speakers matter as much, I have Polk LSi's and I think they like the extra...
I would find friends with amazing amounts of firepower who want the chance to take on a terminator. We would then sit down and watch all the terminator movies and wait until the motion sensors are set of.
Oh and we'd be doing this some place near a lot of hot melted metal thus plenty of easys...
I have an old Denon receiver that doesn't have atmos, that would love to replace an even older receiver in another part of my house.
Then the Atmos would allow me to make a great excuse to upgrade the speakers even. SVS Primes and Denon atmos would be a great setup.
Newer technology is always fun, thanks to this I'm learning about Dolby Atmos and I would love to upgrade my home theater with this new technology.
Besides the price is right!
The PS3 still gets firm ware updates from Sony. I have no complaints about using it as my only Blu-ray drive for years. It's worked with every single blu-ray I've ever tossed at it.
Ouch - I died once to the world 1 castle boss - 2nd time the problem I had was I took out the front 3 first and the back 3 were annoying to hit because he was so long. The reviews have said the game is pretty crazy hard - I don't recall world 1 being this challenging before, but the controls...
Premiere pro trial doesn't support audio in MPEG :( But I LOVE the speed over Premiere Elements when dealing with AVCHD. Now I just need to learn these tools if I'm going to buy them :)
I loved it - so much more rewarding then the prior night's finale. I've loved Chuck since it premiered - I just wish we could get more people to watch. Next season should be interesting - Having the Beverly Hills buy more folks show up was awesome, and then blowing it up was priceless :)...
I was going to pick this up today, but yesterday a 10% games, music, & movies coupon for BB showed up so I'll be obtaining my copy on Friday. I thought Galaxy was a totally different style of game until I read / watched the IGN review.
Not sure if the PS3 upconverts to 1080, but I know if it doesn't my denon reciever upconverts it to 1080p :)
I picked up a Pioneer Elite 50" Plasma and finally have joined the HDMI realm. Pretty sweeet looking game, though I'm only on the 4th chapter or so (I got the trophy for being a Good...
I got the final trophy on Saturday - playtime was 96 hours - time invested was likely more then that (since reloads don't count).
Time it takes to go back and 5 star the final boss is nothing compared to 5 staring all the missions and getting all the weapons.
The back of the box is only allowed to say what the game ouputs as - but some that say 720p are upscaled to 1080 - example is Soul Calibur, most are not and thus why I avoid them :(
According to this link it does... but I was hoping someone can confirm...
How close to max were your grids? I'll need to see what Strat is in the guide - I don't recall having any problems with him. There are MUCH harder fights later vs these type of baddy.
That's exactly what it does - one fight - guide has a snapshot - gives a strategy to kill it in 2 mins - screen shot shows 2:28 as par time. I beat that fight in about 1:05, my par time was 1:28. I only got 4 stars, but it didn't matter because it was a preset fight - loot is predetermined...
I should go back and check my save game - I think it was 20 hours and change. And I didn't plow ;-) I grinded gil/CP at 2 spots, one in chapter 8 and once in chapter 9. Each time for about an hour. I upgraded my weapons which made fights shorter. I think that's the key - shave time off of...
I beat the main story. (I played it far too much over the last week :))
There are towns - but you don't buy/sell in them like you normally do. This fits in nicely with the story
You start with 2 equipment slots - but you will gain more. (max of 4)
The game is linear for the first 15-20 hours -...
Thanks,
The cats are what I practice on around the house :) Most of the rest come from our cruises - now counting 3. I'm working through the latest collection I took on our Panama Canal trip (which we just returned from) and posting them slowly.
Nice, I like the insects on the flowers - I've never visited a flower garden. I should try and shoot pictures more locally - most of mine are from cruises.
In case your curious here's my link to flickr.
It's possible to obtain a D40 quite cheap (for a DSLR)- it's a great camera and the fact it's only 6MP isn't really an issue.
Check out this page for all kinds of details (and the rest of the site is a pretty good Nikon reference - he does talk about Canon - but mostly about why he prefers...
Stick to what you like, I've got all 3 systems (counting the "cute" wii). PS3 shines as a blu-ray player, however I'm still waiting for the killer titles - I've got an original 60gb and most of the game playing on it is PS2 games (upconverted!). Xbox looks pretty but reliability is iffy and it's...
I picked up a PS3 some time back in October, use it 85% for blu-ray 15% for games.
The only thing I don't like is that it won't scale 720p games to 1080i (as my TV won't do 720p)
Anyway looks like I have a lot to read :

I've owned this disc since who knows when, one of the best discs I recall back when I first got it. Also one of the few movies I like as much as the book. I highly doubt I'd bother getting it again if they reissue it, this disc is very very good (can't say that for much of what I own) Brian
