Been a long time since I have posted, but I wasn't able to find a solution through the search. I have a 50" Philips plasma that has a single pixel that will flash red every once in awhile. It's really annoying. I was wondering if there was a way to disable a single pixel thru the service menu...
BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL when purchasing this DVD. The Widescreen/Fullscreen description is not very noticable on the box. Also, some braniac at Best Buy put the pricing stickers on the bottom of the case leaving "screen" showing. I "saved" several unaware consumers when I picked it up today.
I think that DVD-A should have an excellent year for several reasons...
According to the December 02 issue of Computer Music...
and the new Audigy 2 cards support DVD-A playback using existing DVD-ROMs.
Thanks for the help! I picked up an RP82 from Fry's and I am very impressed. The only thing I don't like about this player is the remote. It does the job, but just looks and feels cheaply made.
I just purchased a new Toshiba widescreen TV (42HDX82) and want to get a decent progressive scan DVD player. Here's what I am looking for... - Under $300 - Progressive Scan - CD-R support - not sure if there is a technical term, but the ability to support blacker than black - MP-3...
WRONG!! The Toshiba 42HDX82 supports 720P. I just picked mine up yesterday and enjoyed Tony Hawk 4 last night. Check out the website for the proof...

Just got one today for next weekend. May 17-19
It had an interesting movie/music coupon...
10%off 1-title or 15%off 2-titles or %20off 3-titles (limit 3)
My roommate received a pack as well, but he got a 10% off up to 5 titles coupon instead.
So I guess I will wait until next week-end to...
Just a friendly reminder... Playcentric charges your card when you place the order, not when they ship. It is not a big deal, just unexpected. It is the best price on the net! ;)
Just listening to my new set of RP3s from Ubid. What an incredible deal!!! These speakers sound great! I would have never thought I would own $1500 speakers, especially since I got them for $450 ;)

If you are using the screensaver...
1. Right click on you desktop, and select properties.
2. Select the Screen Saver tab
3. Hit the settings button
4. Check the box that says go to blank screen and set the time for 1 minute.
This will dramatically decrease the time it takes to process...
It looks like everything is running smoothly at SETI again. I haven't seen unable to connect errors in the last few days.
So c'mon HTF'ers join the team... let's be number 1!!!!
Robert - 1957 units processed and counting
I have a chance to get a 2.5 year old 65" Toshiba Cinema Series HD-Ready TV. The TV is the standard ratio. The owner just purchased a new widescreen Toshiba and needs to get the other one out of his house. He told me that I could have it for $1200. I know that he is the only owner and that...
I was thinking about the 3/$1.00 deal when they opened. I went back and looked at my DVD list and saw all of the movies I got for next to nothing. The days of the $5 off $20 coupons are long gone. Oh well, I guess we will never see those deals again.:frowning:
There was a THX trailer DVD that was released when DVD's were first out. The disc contained all of the THX trailers, including 'The Simpson's'. There were only a few hundred copies or so and they were only available at a tech show. I remember they were selling for a lot of money on ebay.
Well I cleared 900 units, I don't think that is too bad. I am only using my Home and Work computer to process. Has there ever been a membership drive on the HTF?? They were going to include it in a newsletter, but I haven't heard anything about that in months.
