I am pretty cofident that you will not need a booster for either of those signals. However I have heard that a different approach must be taken when runs of 25ft. plus are being ran. For the component cables I would run 3 lines of RG6 cable and crimp on 3 rca connectors. I beleive this would be...
Alright then, I think going with the mono blocks is not the way to go. So I guess I will just by a new receiver. What do you think I should try and get for the VSX-21; its about 2.5 years old now, but its still a new little receiver. I hope I can get over 250CND for it. Or am I dreaming...
Hi, I currently have a Pioneer Elite AV receiver powering my Energy C2s and AC-300. I am planning to build kit281s this summer for my fronts/centre and a pair of Kit81s for the rears. I think before that I would like to change my amp situation. I am not sure If I should a) Buy 5 Mono block...
Yeah the CAT5 worked really good, the improvement over s-video was defiently worth it. I would say its comparable to the difference between composite and component cables on a regular TV. Im not sure what you mean by STP or UTP. My dad just had a box of 1000ft of CAT5 for wiring the house for...
I just finished building a 25' cable for my DVD player to Projector out of 3-25' runs of RG6 cable one end terminated with crimp on RCA connectors. The other end to the projector (an X1) currently has a 15pin male connector. I used to have the exact same type of connections on each end using...
Hi, I am selling my Ac-300 and my C2's which are in good condition and still sound great. I am planning to build Kit 281's this summer to replace the Energy's what should I try and sell everything for? I was thinking anywhere from $400-$500CND, does this sound reasonable? Thanks alot. Adam
Nick, where did you buy from and when did you send your order. I ordered from SoftMagic on Monday, when they said they still had some in stock. As of yesterday they were out of stock so I'm not sure if they got to my order or not, I'm awaiting a reply from them. If you didnt also order from them...
I can't beleive it, where have they all gone!? I have been trying to get my hands on one for a couple weeks now it seems like they are out of stock absolutely everywhere. I am from Canada so I am trying my best not to buy from the states. Even local dealers it seems are completely dry lately. I...
Brent, when will you be purchasing? Also where are you located?, US or Canada? I will definetly be interested in getting one of the projectors you mentioned thanks. Adam [email protected]
I am currently selling my Toshiba 50" 50H82 Widscreen Set. It has about 3.5 years left on full home warrenty and I paid roughly 3000 for it a year and a bit ago. I was trying to get about 1850 CND for and some people just came into see it and offered 1500CND. Is this too low for this set...
I was wondering if you have the diameter and length of the port determined for a given volume, do these numbers need to be recalculated if stuffing is placed in the box, as the stuffing would effectively increase the volume in the box??? If this is true how does one go about determining the...
Title pretty much says it all, I bought mine last september and will be getting a projector. It has 4years+ left on complete in home warranty and is in perfect condition. How much would be fair (in CND$ would be helpful). Thanks alot, Adam
In my room a portion of the ceiling is dropped to box in pipes and stuff. This was done with steel frame and drywall -sheetrock. The volume inside this dropped area would be sufficient for an IB setup, however I was wondering if drywall(sheetrock) is enough to isolate the front and back waves...
Values were calculated using "Passive Crossover Design Excel Program", I used the CLIO respons graphs and T/S parameters I found at PE.com. Thanks for the program, Adam
Im building a set of speakers for my electronics class and have to build/design the speakers. I have just ordered the dayton silk dome tweeter (http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/pshow...=275-070&DID=7) and the 6-1/2 Woofer (http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showd..._ID=7769&DID=7). I...
I too would like to know how exactly you achieved the look on the edges. It appears to be 1/4" (?) veneer with something squished into the joints and smoothed down at a 45 degree angle ? BTW they look great. Thanks Adam
In my experience I plug the TV in and the DVD/VCR what have you and then turn on the TV. You can watch the set out of the box! If you are referring to tweaking the performance of the set, this is more of an ongoing thing as you must first break-in the TV [100hours+ ] before doing any real...
Just wondering how you are going about securing the plexiglass? and how do you plan to soundproof the box?... if that thing isnt secured properly it might be pushed around abit and you could see yourself a month down the road with the piece of plexi coming off or rattling. Sounds like a...
Do I wire the voice coils in parallel and the subs in series OR Do I wire the voice coils in series and the subs in parallel ??? Im assuming both will give me an effective resistance of 8Ohms. Thanks Adam
I 32" TV? You should EASILY be able to move it with your brother. I can move one of them by myself if need be. In my opinion a dolly would not help. :::YOU LIFT LEFT SIDE; BROTHER TAKE RIGHT SIDE::: Adam
I have a 3 or 4 year old Sony 500watt DD receiver. I am going to be selling to a freind and want to know what a fair price would be.

Bruce I apolligize if i am incorrect, but arn't all the values in the form 1.85:1, not 1:85:1 etc.
Because this is a ratio between screen height and length (only 2 numbers) therefore ___:___ not, __:__:__
So not if the 'middle' number gets bigger, but the 'left' number or screen width, do...
Title pretty much says it all. Ill be integrating these with a sub already have so the sub 80Hz are not of concern with repsect to F response. Im looking for something on the smaller side, less than 12" high, 7-10" wide, 7-10" deep. It has to have a good, relatively flat, response, none of this...
Definetly go with Toshiba the size is alot larger and picture quality will, IMO, be more filmlike and smooth compared to the direct view. If you are more then 5 feet away, get the tosh! Adam
