I was pleasantly surprised how smart this movie was....much more so than the previews led you to believe. Everyone was in fine form, with the exception of Steve Martin, who I thought was the weak link(IMHO). Unfortunately, the 2:10 showing today was very poorly attended.

John, I agree. This is a fantastic disc. It just bugs me to no end that why can't all Silverline discs sound like this, damn it!

I think that most honest repair shops should give youan estimate before they start. I am a little worried about finding a shop that is familar with laser disc players. Even at the height of player sales, good repair people were hard to find.

Nathan, possibly one of two things: 1. Your disc maybe warped or 2. your laser pickup may be out of alignment. I suspect the latter. Good luck.

Ron, I saw this film in the theater and I was awe struck by Denzel's performance. I don't think I have ever seen such an evil character portrayed so well as in this movie. Can't wait for the release.
