Couldn't you just go into the menu and write down the settings that the Audyessy has established. Then manually change them as desired. To change them back to the Audyessy settings , simply refer back to the original Audyessy settings you wrote down.
Hi Don! I figured there was more of a difference than just the OTA HD decoder. Can you explain the other variances. I believe the lense is a higher quality than that of the HX83, but what else is different. Thanks,
Great review Adam! I just set up my Studio Experience Matinee 2HD recently, which has identical specs of the Panasonic. I can relate to what you have experienced. I certanly would like to invest in the DVI connection. That may be down the road very shortly.
Kirk! You can get a 1280x720 native res 16 x 9 FPTV and a 106" DA-Lite screen for $4,397 CDN A great combination if you can muster a 15 feet seating distance from the screen. Let me know if you would like more detail!
8 feet away from a 125" screen is way to close. I am sitting 14 feet away from my 106" screen and can sometimes see the SDE. I realize I am just starting out and still have some calibrating to do, so I may see some improvement. Basically at 8 feet away, you are not going to see a clean...
Changing the DVD players menu from 4:3 to 16:9 fixed the aspect ratio issue. Actually didn't even realize it was an issue until it was pointed out. Anyways!! I am in Awe of this screen and projector!! Truely incredible!!:)
Yup!! Something is wrong! This is definately not 'plug and play' device , so there is a learning curve. I was just so glad that I was able to finally get the picture right side up after mounting the projector upside down on the roof. I could not find the setting to change this for the life...
We are up and running.. The cabling has been tacked into place, however I plan to get some plastic tubbing to encase to wiring in order to have cleaner look. Here are some final shots!! http://members.shaw.ca/schellshocked/ht33.jpg A view of the projector mounted from the ceiling...
The projector is now mounted. Just have to clean up the cables a little. http://members.shaw.ca/schellshocked/ht29.jpg First bracket attached to the I-Beam in the roof..Not an easy thing to find. However I was lucky. Anyways , she is very solid...
Here we go!! The screen is up and I also connected the projector, however I only had it sitting on a table. Tomorrow I will mount it to the roof. The following pics show the process of assembling the screen and then mounting it onto the wall...
Hah! That's from my old Webpage, That's a great desk. I now have the two cabents that go with it and the matching bookshelf...I love the desk. Ron!! What a awesome array of amps!! I bow to you!! You sure have done an outstanding job of your HT room. Very impressive!!
Parker , which Desk are you refering to? I don't remember having a view of my office. Neil,,I sure will! The screen still has not arrived. I am going to phone tomorrow to see where it is at. It's a good possibility that this -45C weather is slowing down shipping and transportation...
Thanks Lamarcus! I am pretty much done in the Audio section. Very satisfied. Yes, We just moved a little over a year ago. We turned the entire finished basement into a multi-functional room which includes our HT. Your Set-up looks great!!:emoji_thumbsup:
Thanks for correcting that for me Parker. Dave, it won't be a problem at all. The projector will be on the lower part of the roof which is in direct center of the screen.
The Matinee 2HD has already arrived. The 106" Da-Lite Cinema Contour HCCV screen should arrive before the end of the month, sometime next week. In anticipation of the screen to arrive , some changes where required to make room for the 52"X92" dimension screen which will eventually replace the...
Jerzy,, Everything you need to know should be right here. I am also about to purchase the 5900 and plan to run a DVI connection to my Matinee 2 HD FPTV. DVI
