I recently upgraded from 602's to CM4's and love them. I have been really impressed with the CMRC center and the CM4's are also very musical! Good luck.
Tough call.
I have not heard the 602.5. I recently upgraded my 602's to CM4's and have been pleased.
Given my liking of my 602's I would think this new model should also be very good.
I have been tempted to purchase some Diva's just to try them out but the return shipping is far too high...
I think what is different about B&O is that they do not try to confuse customers with alot of thinly veiled terms about how their product functions.
B&O is as much about form and function as it is about performance.
If anything I think that Bose longs to be as respected as B&O is.
I think the CDM's are a better speaker but I am curious why you did not consider the CM series?
I felt these were a fantastic value for the money and upgraded my DM 602's to CM4's.
Good luck.
I was very close to buying a Sony CE775 SACD player at the clearance price. I too am forced to conclude this format along with DVD-Audio is simply not going to catch on.
Speaker buying is very subjective. Personally I would not buy a speaker without hearing it first.
Some of the most respected names around are B&W, Paradigm, PSB, Canton, Definitive Technology and others.
Do yourself a favor, go out to several stores with material you are familiar with and...
Thanks for the reply.
I will be wiring for 7.1 but I just picked up a Yamaha RX-V1 and it does not do 7.1. I am most concerned about 6.1 at the moment because that is how I will start.
When I upgrade that piece I will be ready for 7.1
Should the rear channels in a 6.1 system go on the back wall level with the rear center, or on the side walls at the same height as the center?
I am not doing 7.1 and the speakers are not chosen yet.
Thanks
