Ok, I was having a discussion with a friend of mine about progressive scan and he said that it's no longer necessary to have 3:2 pulldown on a dvd player as it is on newer TVs. Is that information correct? I remember alot of discussion about players that weren't "real" progressive scan...

I agree, the problem seems to be xbox related. I just watched the whole thing on my sony without a problem. Very odd though. Does anyone else know of DVDs that have a problem playing on the xbox?

I'm watching my copy of moulin rouge right now and using my xbox as a dvd player. about halfway through the movie Right after the doctor says Satine is dying I get alot of pixelization and stopping in the movie for about 5 minutes. Is anyone else having this problem?:frowning:

I just purchased the discs and have not had time to watch them. My question is, why does the Godfather Part II span 2 discs? the film is 200 minutes long if i'm correct, is a single sided dual layered disc not capable of supporting films that long? Thanks!
