Are the analogue 5.1 and the digital outputs both live at the same time on a HD XA2, so I could use dolby true HD and use the digital outputs for SD soundtracks ?
What I want is an excellent player that can play both formats and SD DVD's. If that is available I don't care who wins, because I win. I want this HDMI fiasco worked out, so I can utilize the new lossless sound formats, this is as important to me as the HD picture. We need movies that we would...
The free software upgrades are downloadable from the Anthem site Anthemav.com All you need ia a PC an a straight wired serial cable to hook them up and thats it. It takes just a few minutes to do.
I emailed Nick at Anthem about the DPLIIx upgrade for the AVM20. He said that it was a big patch, and they were trying to get it to work with the existing hardware. If they can get it to work it would be available to download, if not,it would be part of the upcoming hardware upgrade.
Updating the software on the Anthem is a snap, just download it from the website hook up your computer to the Anthem and it does everything itself. As far as needing a laptop, all you need is a long length of cable ( I have a 75foot one ) Leave one end attached to the Anthem coil up the rest and...
Michael, I'm in the same boat. My center hannel speaker is 26"Lx10"Hx11"D. I currently have it sitting on top of a 50" Mitsu RPTV. The new DLP tv's are too thin for this mounting. So far I'm leaning towards a Mitsu WD62725 with the optional base, which has an opening large enough to contain my...
If I was going to upgrade it would be to the D1 and not the 30. The 20 and 30 are essentially the same unit with a blue display rather than a green one, and an additional set of component ins and outs. It is my understanding that both units will continue to be supported, so until there's an...

I am happy with my AVM20, once they upgrade to DPLII ( a few weeks away according to Sonic) it will still be up to date. It has the space for Firewire or whatever interface that becomes the standard, so its long term viability is great. Until something tremendous comes out that it can't do, I'm...
I've had my AVM 20 since it first came out. Other than modifying it to V2 I haven't spent a dime on it. I did have a problem with a defective upgrade board when it was upgraded, and Nick bent over backwards to resolve the problem expiditiosly. My system has gone from 5.1 to 7.1, because of free...
I've had my avm 20 since it first came out as v.1. In all that time I only encountered one issue with it, and that was a defective dsp board when I upgraded it to V.2(Frank from Anthem bent over backwards to resolve that issue as quickly as possible). In all that time I have upgraded the unit...
Anthem has come out with so many versions of software v 2.11 to 2.12 that maybe they should list them by dvd player, like v2.11k for Toshiba for example. It looks to me that in this situation One Size Doesn't Fit All
I use a rotel rlc 900 to power up my rmb1095 which also doesn't have a trigger. It also delays powering it up until everything else is on, therefor no pops. It msrp's for $195.00 but i'm sure you can buy one for less. Check it out at http://rotel.com/products/specs/rlc900.htm
