Forgive my naivety, but what problem does out of phase circuits cause?

What is the difference in the processor portion of the 1056 receiver and the 1068 processor. They appear to have identical features, but the 1056 adds a tuner and 5 channel amp for about $400 less? What am I missing?

Is a single run of 12/3 Romex an adequate way of accomplishing this?

I have a VSX6TX which is about 4 years old(2 years out of warranty). It stopped making sound today. What is the "the dreaded "no sound" problem"?

A little follow up: Turns out something on the power board blew. :frowning: $4oo worth!!:angry: The repair guy said he sees this all the time in these TV's. Usually at 5-6 years. He thought 3 years was relatively early, but not unheard of.
