Maybe just to say hi to the other version of Jack. We see his dad and sister hanging around the cabin. Jack was the only one who could've saved young Ben but he didn't want to, but then Jacob was the one who saved him. Also, Matthew Fox has been known to secretly play two separate characters...
I'm wondering if Jack is Jacob. This episode seems to be building towards that idea with the two time lines and the ending where Jack decides what to do with the bomb, and Locke and his people going to visit him. I wouldn't be surprised if at the end of next week's episode, we get the reveal. ~T
I think it got to the point where it was hard for her to listen to her son playing, because of the emotions she would feel from hearing it. It seem she tried to detach herself from him as much as possible. ~T
I'll say that the first time I listened to it, I wasn't that enthusiastic about it. There were a few good songs, but most of them were just too mellow and some were lacking melody. After further listenings, I'm really liking it now. I really like all the sounds and layers on this album; I'm...
I have got to totally disagree with them being a poster band. Their concerts are just awesome. They do a good job of changing up their songs from concert to concert, the visuals and lights are spectacular, there are plenty of songs that receive great audience participation, and Dave Gahan knows...
That was a really shocking ending, just for the fact that we saw someone shoot a kid and to see the kid's reaction. This hardly ever happens in movies, but if it does it happens offscreen. So I was pretty shocked to see this on a TV show. ~T
Anyone excited about their new album next month? I'm loving their first single "Wrong." Also, this demo version of "Come Back" sounds incredible: YouTube - Depeche Mode - Come Back (SOTU Box) ~T
John Cena had a nice cameo at the beginning. I wonder if he's lined up to host since he has a movie coming out. I didnt see anything different about Keenan during that sketch. If he was moving his mouth, then it's probably his way of acting tough. ~T
In the past years, you can always count on The Rock and Justin Timberlake to deliver the goods when they host. Even though the material may not be good at times, they seem to be open to any idea and they do a good job of performing and remembering their lines. ~T
Hugh Jackman was alright as the host. His song and dance numbers were good, but he didn't do a good job of keeping the show moving along. I was surprised by how short the show ended up being, with all those 2008 montages and the whole 5 previous acting winners presenting the nominees. The...
There's only 2 more months to bulk up. I also heard that Ernest Miller was saying Rourke couldn't run the ropes all that well. So if anything, he could be involved in Wrestlemania in a non-wrestling role as a referee, enforcer, or manager. There will probably be more developments on tonight's...
Of those Lew mentioned, I might agree with: In the Mood for Love Yi Yi LOTR Talk to Her City of God Far From Heaven I will add Mulholland Dr and The New World. ~T
I was surprised Slumdog won for best cast. The actors seem like they would've picked Milk or Doubt rather than a movie with unknowns. I was hoping Rourke was building up momentum for the Oscars, but with Penn winning this award and with the actors making up a majority of the Oscar members...
In some surprising news, it looks like Mickey Rourke might be heading to Wrestlemania, with possibly wrestling in a match. Vince McMahon hated the movie, but now seems to be cashing in on the movie's popularity with the awards. Also, hasn't Rourke learned his lesson in not accepting jobs just...
I know RT only reflects positive versus negative reviews, but I thought it would be interesting to take a look at the best picture nominees' ratings. The problem with The Reader is that not many of its positive reviews were that stellar, while there were more people who thought The Wrestler...
I've done some researching for the past few years to see what the RT's rating was for the best picture nomiinees: 2009 Bejnamin: 72 Frost/Nixon: 91 Slumdog: 95 Reader: 60 Milk: 93 2008 There Will Be Blood: 91 Juno:93 Atonement:83 Michael Clayton: 90 No Country: 94 2007...
