Ok, so I've researching and found something about renaming or assigning all the inputs. I did that on the younger TV and everything works now. Seems like an odd thing that worked but hey, I'll take it. NOw to test out the other one.
Well, I have 2 aging Panny plasmas, one is about 10 years old and the other about 6. The former's HDMI and all other inputs quite working then soon after the latter. I know TVs nowadays are quite cheap so I was wondering if this would be a cheap fix like maybe a hundred bucks a pop.
They are old...
Just saw this thread. I actually collect them. I get one from every country I visit. Not the expensive ones but mostly those that are not common place here in the US. Presently have 11 of them.
see if u r actually outputting 5.1 ch to ur receiver/amplifier. That is the problem at times with PCs, u have to tell it to output the proper format.
If that is fine, see if u can just increase the volume level on the center channel.
Also, run some kind of 5.1 channel test from the PC to check...
Ron,
Haven't figured it out yet that much but like I want the tray to be opened after I hit watch a movie, etc. Also, I'd like to get particular buttons on a single page which i often use when watching, say...the cursor wheel, play, pause, eject, etc. Guess I can live with it so I might be...
Hey Ron, thanks for the review. I got this thing hooked up now but I have to find a nice spot for it so it can "see" my projector as well as the components in a closed door. Sucks that u can't make macros with it though. Guess I'm kinda spoiled with Prontos.
My getting a 7.2 (like sayiing that coz I got me twin subs) was actually a very pleasant accident. THe guy I bought the speakers from was getting rid of his whole system, so when asked if I would like to get the extra sub and 2 extra surround speakers, I asked for how much more. He said its...
So far so good. As Scott says, u can get good results with the ISO high up there. Been trying to use it with a flash but it seems that there is a definite learning curve to go that route as I've been getting so so results. Hate to say this but the white color seem to attract people to "pose"...
Thanks for the info. Guess I just have to get used to it. Just an FYI, I got a new one from OneCall, 12 months to pay. For a little over $100 a month, I get to own and enjoy a "white" Canon lens! And yes, my wife approved of it...
Got the thing and frankly I thought it'd be bigger and heavier. I guess its a welcomed surprise for me! Haven't really tested it out but I noticed that the IS "whir" on every shot and it is quite noticeable? Is this the norm?
I have decided I needed a longer reach and with much research, have decided on the F4L non IS. Then my wife goes, "Why get that when u can get the IS version?" Mind u, she doesn't even know what IS is but she says that from what I was telling her, the extra money seems worth it. So, my...
When I joined more than a decade ago, I almost met this guy in Kansas City. I see Parker as the all around guy that police the forum if not put in a word to make things right. While he is an owner, I always saw him as a big brother, ready to help but also to keep an eye out when u start...
I tried just shooting video with the 60D and it did kept on shooting way past the 5 minute mark. I stopped at around 8 minutes.
So am I to understand shooting for 20 minutes or more not a good thing?
Yeah, I know the black ones are L lenses when they have those red line going around them. Seems kinda trivial for the reason but do they actually get hot or warm at all during use? I haven't tried one yet, only held once or twice....
Yeah, the AF on the 7D is heaven as well as the burst shooting. The articulating LCD is gonna be fun though I doubt I will be using it much. The 60D has that electronic level thingy though but I have to find the use for that myself. I have handled a 7D and its size it nice, making me think I...
I happen to see this gadget online and went ahead and tried one. I have a TV hooked up to a Dell Studio Hybrid downstairs but my router was upstairs. While it worked great with my Canon T1i, it was really slow uploading from downstairs. So I had a spare router rigged as a repeater close to the...
I'm upgrading from a T1i to a 60D. While ur discussions on the merits of the 7D are quite convincing, I am still bound to the almighty dollar. I don't think I can justify another $400 on top of the 60D when I can easily get a nice lens for that money (actually have a Sigma 10-22 f4 in mind). I'm...
Well, that was to be expected from beta blockers, Shawn. The anemia theory is very valid but I would wager ur doc has already gone through ur bloodwork and would have picked up on this. Though B12 levels are not a standard test for screening. At any rate, be sure to tell him about the B12...
Metoprolol has that side effect of being tired but its pretty much the only one that works for palpitations. There r some other meds but the side effects are worse. Hopefully though u aren't getting the other known side effect of beta blockers.....the one that makes u a "softy" down there....
Well, I've had routers lasting quite a few years for me. My aging Linksys B router was still working fine after 6 years but i had to replace it to jump on G. For the past 3 years, I've had a Zyxel but have recently gone with another Linksys, the WRTG54 with Tomato loaded up. The third party...
I guess most move on but its still one of my sites to visit routinely as all my PCs have it bookmarked. The layout has changed and although I find that it seems to change more often, I still can manage. On another note, most of the guys that have posted here have been members for more than...
