Other than the Clear Channeling of a few stations, I still feel that there is enough diversity to keep me interested in XM. I can certainly understand how some playlists get repetitive after listening to them ad nauseum for a couple weeks, but all I do is pick another station. My only...
Found it at Best Buy last night for $20. Rumors I've heard elsewhere is that some Wal-Marts also have it, though I did not go and see myself. All in all, very good set, much like Greatest Video Hits One, and the videos are cropped once again. The commentary by Brian and Roger on all the...
I'm curious how the release pattern of the box sets, especially if that information is made prior to the initial release, affects consumer purchasing. As previously stated, the fact that Image released two seasons of The Dick Van Dyke Show at once, coupled with the knowledge that the...
This is great news. I'll assume, though, that they will continue to include bits of the "Dick Van Dyke Show Remembered" on the discs rather than the entire special in one complete form?
The commentary with Dick Van Dyke and Carl Reiner was great. You can tell that these guys have remained friends through the years, and they share some great anecdotes. The only complaint I have (and the pros defintely out weigh the cons on this) regards their use of the 1995(?) remembrance...
I would imagine it is the same as the First Season, which featured 4.0 sound. But as the review does say, you buy this less for the perks, and more because it is one of the best TV shows out there. Can't wait until Season 3 is released.
The DTS track sounds pretty good, though I don't claim to be the best audiophile out there. It does sound better than the Freddie Tribute concert, if that helps to compare. My suggestion is to just play it loud and you'll be happy with it. What I really like about this DVD is the two discs...
I got a look at the disc tonight a few days before release, and I have to say this my new favorite Queen DVD. This was a great performance from the band and the DVD finally reflects how good Queen was live. The best parts are those not include on previous releases, like the Friday night songs...
Caruso only appears in the first 4 epidsodes of Season 2, just enough time to write out his character. David Milch wrote a book detailing the turmoil over the first season+ of NYPD Blue, plus some backround on Bill Clark and his involvement in the show. Certainly insightful on Caruso, the...
Apples and Oranges The WWRY DVD is a tame performance by the band as the audience seems to be lacking. A good, but by no means, great show. The Video Hits has more material, overall better quality given that the videos in question are over 20 years old and most have degraded somewhat. The...
I find this deeply troubling. But I've always wondered if releasing all 158 episodes together(and without any individual sets or discs) is the best method. This is without a doubt my favorite tv show, but I'd have a hard time affording this.
"Jerry Nelson's name appeared in the end credits." I didn't see that, but there were definite differences in his characters. I went to MuppetCentral and the rumor there is that he's been seriously ill, and that's why he wasn't involved. I guess we can only hope for the best.
Radio GAGA will be on the second volume, as it was originally on Greatest Flix 2. This is strictly the first volume, which is Queen songs up through The Game, or around 1980.
