Here's the reference to the other forum: http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showt...hreadid=519438 I am absolutely positive that it is using 1080i. I bought this machine a while back before they disabled 1080i on component.
That's very weird. I know I'm not the only person to have encountered this problem, because I saw a similar thread on AVS Forum. I bought mine a while back and I'm outputting 1080i on the component connections.
I haven't really been following this thread, but has the banding problem been solved yet? Here are some examples of the banding problem: http://www.twinpekes.com/photos/inde...ith%20Problems
My workaround was to toss it aside and use a real universal remote. My MX-500 works beautifully with it and other devices. I don't think I would be happy with any remote that comes with a device these days now that I've gotten used to the MX-500.
By 7 channel stereo, do you mean Logic7 mode? That may just be the result of the DSP algorithm. I don't think it outputs the same signal to all 7 channels. I think the front channels are still the "preferred" channels while the surrounds are for ambience.
That's definitely weird. With my 7200, the max volume I would use is -35 for stereo listening, -25 for DTS movies, and -15 for DD movies. Any higher and it would be too painful to listen to. :)
Two problems: width and depth. The receiver is just a tad wider than 17 inches. Also, the feet on the receiver are right underneath the front and a few inches in from the rear. So if you let the receiver hang off the front, the front feet will dangle and the weight will be on the receiver bottom...
Yup, and that's partially why I bought it. Just because you can buy 2 items at the same price doesn't mean they are equal in quality. The onecall.com price of $788 is probably pretty close to the cost they pay for the receiver from HK. I'm may be totally off, but the cost of the 1400 is probably...
Thanks for putting it succinctly, Drew, that's what I was trying to get at. :) The 1400 looks great on paper because it has tons and tons of features, but make sure those are features you need or will actually use. Keep in mind that those features come at a price of compromising other...
I went with the 7200 because I didn't need all of the features that the 1400 provided. I didn't need 6 video inputs. I didn't need 8 digital audio inputs. I didn't need all those DSP programs. I didn't need zone 2 and zone 3 support (heck, I don't even need zone 2). I wanted to spend the money...
No problem. I just wanted Bill to have the right info to make up his mind. For what it's worth, I just received my HK AVR-7200 from Onecall on Tuesday and am loving it! :)
George, do you mean that the HK is heavier? And there are a couple of incorrect specs in your list: 3. The 140 watts per channel was when only 5 channels were driven. 6. 50 mhz Component Video Switching and only 2 of those
And somebody should give that character some shoes with grip. It takes him a good while to start up or stop. Combined with the camera, this was a very frustrating for me to play. Either release a good demo, or don't release a demo at all.
1. Get a mod chip for your XBOX. 2. Download MAME-X. 3. Download ROMS for Tetris, Puzzle Bobble (aka Bust-A-Move), Super Puzzle Fighter, etc. 4. Have fun in puzzle heaven.
I can't believe they're comparing the revenue from Mario games to the revenue from the Star Wars movies. There are 5 Star Wars movies. How many Mario sequels have there been? About a dozen? What's the average price of a movie ticket (since Episode 1, mind you) compared to the average price of a...
