My ideal Atmos home theater setup would be a place where I immerse myself in the surrounding experience, having no idea I'm still at home! The new Denon receiver might just do that!
I am very confused by the Blue Ray release of Narnia - Lion Witch.. The theatrical release on DVD is 135min, the extended 150, but the Blue Ray is 143? So is this some in between cut?
Anyone knows anything about Wuthering Heights (1939)? I have still to see this movie and have waited ten years to buy it. Missed out when originially released back in 1997 on DVD and it has been discontinued since.
Any more suggestions of new and old movies with funny and/or serious rock climbing scenes in it? I am hosting a rock climbing party and would like to put together a little show. Examples: Failure to Launch Mission Impossible II Cliffhanger Vertical Limit Guns of Navarone The Eiger...
Bought the cable I suggested in the initial post and now I suddenly realized that I have been sleepwalking or something as this cable would not work. The end points won't fit the coax digital outputs properly. So sad :frowning: Back to looking for other cables..
I was wondering about a cable for now while planning the basement. Everything is working in my spare bedroom, where my current setup is. Just want to have the projector up and running there as well for now. I have not even decided the size of the room in the basement yet. I would have lots of...
I just ordered a new Panasonic AE900 projector. Will use it later on in the basement, but have not started on finishing it. Wanted to play around with the projector first. So in the mean time, I want a cheaper solution to go by to use in my current temporary spare room. I have two options, a...
I just rented Young Adam. This is another release from ColumbiaTristar with pretty bad quality. Once upon a time (read many many years ago) this Studio was the top DVD studio. Today I know of no worse studio. Today ColumbiaTristar is probably the only major studio to omit English subtitles on...
I got the XS32 the other day and too thought it did not recognize my Sony DSS. Then it turned out the IR blaster seems a little sensitive. I moved it around for awhile until I found a spot where my receiver finally detected the signals. Might not be your problem, but might be worth a shot.
I just got my eyes on the Toshiba RD-XS32 which has an 80GB drive as well as dvd recorder. Don't know much about it yet, but could be something to you to. You can get it for $450-$500.
This is what IMDB writes in the trivia section: "A new print is being restored by Robert Harris, and so far 188 minutes of the original 192 have been discovered."
I am confused about the number of oscars "How Green Was My Valley" got. IMDB says 5 wins out of 9 nominations and also the cover on the DVD. However the documentary on the DVD says 6 wins and 10 nominations. So what happened here? Ron
I am still waiting to see Zhang Yimou's "Hero", but unfortunately I live in US :frowning: It originally came out in 2002 and it has basically come out in every corner of the world except in US (even on home video). It is so sad Miramax controls this movie and so many more and just butcher...
Anybody knows what happened to this? Any updates? I sold my old copy :frowning:
I would really love to finally get this in widescreen as it seems it was recorderd that way. Especially when you miss part of the screen in many shots.
I bought my copy here in US a few years back. Not sure if it is region 1 or 0. I guess it is out of print now. It would be awsome if someone (MGM?) would release "Raise the Red Lantern" however.
