Hey Dan, Are you still using the S3? I just bought one and love it. You said you bought a Nikon and was just curious if something went wrong with the S3.
They will provide the component cable to you HDTV from the box. I would ask the guy to put a splitter in for you, so that you can have PIP. My guy did it free. He put took out the HD comcast box and just replaced it with the DVR box. They look the same from the front.
x10 just updated their starter kit and it now includes a computer module that connects via USB. It includes a few other modules and a basic remote. Depending on what remote you have, pronto, whatever, you can add an ir to rf adaptor and use it for turning off lights and etc.. I programmed my...
Depending on your location, the Comcast DVR is a single tuner, thus you cannot watch one thing and record another. If this is the situation, I would suggest splitting the cable before the cable box and run a seperate coax to you antenna input. Use the HD connection to hook up to the tube or if...
Not only that, but it may not be to code. General outlets thoughout the house should be on a 15A circuit. Only if it is not specified to be on a different one, such as a microwave or other kitchen appliances.
Hello Guys, I have an opportunity to pick up a brand new 2803 for $485, from a local authorized dealer. I am upgrading from a 3200, that I have had and loved since 98'. Any opinions? I would like to get the new 3805, but just can't swing it right now. The 2805 looks nice, but just not enough...
You should be able to find an HD antenna that mounts to the dish and as Don said, connect it the a diplexer. I found that indoor HD antenna are all junk and or very touchy. Go with something outside and you won't be disappointed.
You should all 5 channels. Make sure that you have all of the connection to the amp from you DVD player, ie. front left and right, center, surround left and right and sub. They should all go to the external in composite jacks on the receiver. Also, make sure that you have the setting set for 5...
Take a look at the Hitachi 57S500 or the 65S500 or 700. I bought the 65S700 and can't say enough about it. Great picture, plenty of inputs and outputs.
Being a long time fighter of Digital cable, we recently moved and I took a long look at it. I upgraded to a 65" HDTV and didn't want just an antenna for locals. Direct TV is just outrageous, $500 for the receiver, and with HBO and HD package (not including local HD channels) was going to be $85...
I am in Grayslake and just got Comcast HD today, WOW is right, and yes the installer said the DVI works. The problem that I have is that when I split the cable coming into the house, the run to the HD tv with HD box works, but the run to the bedroom, just to a cable ready tv does not. Had Direct...
Hey Brian, I am in Grayslake, and used the Zenith antenna and recieved nothing. It didn't get a signal anywhere I put in in the room. I was not using any type of amplifier, just the antenna. Just an FYI.. Having Comcast HD installed today. Anyone have any input on Comcast and the quality of...
The Hitachi has a 4:3 expanded mode that will do what you are looking for. It distorts a little on the sides, but nothing that will kill you. I have the 65s700 and I love it. Watching SD in 16:9 mode is to squished, and I don't want to watch 4:3 with the bars on the side, of fear of burn in...
Hi Gregg, Off topic, but what do you think of the Hitachi 65S700? I just had this set delivered and have not had the time yet ot calibrate. Have you done any of these sets yet and if so, how did it come out after ISF? Thank you. Marc
Hi, I just purchased this set from Sears on Saturday and got a great deal, almost $1000 off. It is being delivered tomorrow, but I have a problem. My HT now is in my basement and the viewing distance is 14'. We sold our house over the weekend and in the new house, this set is going into the...
