Any way to fix bubbles in veneer?

You may try slitting the material with and exacto knife and cutting the bubble and injecting glue in the slice then weigh it down.

    Line Array Speakers

I would like to build a set of home theater speakers. The line array design looks intriguing. Has anyone built a set of these? If so how do they sound? Were they built from a kit? Also I have heard they are very directional. Any comments would be appreciated

Several years ago Wood Magazine published a set of plans in their magazine. I actually built this set. You may try and archive search on thier site. IF you cannot find it I think I may still have the book. I can send pictures of the one I built and try to scan the magazine if I can find it. Steve

    Tempest Response Curve Question

Thanks for the suggestions. Unfortunatly I cannot move the sub because of the room layout. It is really an odd shaped room. Unless I do some MAJOR reconstruction on the house at great expense, I am stuck with it. Maybe I am worried about nothing. I think it sounds awesome. Looking at the jaw...

    Tempest Response Curve Question

I finally got around to testing my Tempest Adire Alignment Sub. The corrected data is below. It seems like I have a dramatic drop off around 56 Hz. I am running a PE250 watt amp. Any suggestions as to what could cause such a drop off? I think it could be my room as I have a large room with very...

    how should I bend Formica?

If you have large pieces i doubt you can bend it that much without it breaking. Even with the thin stuff. If it breaks then you have real problems.

Anybody build the Adire Alignment enclosure for a Tempest?

Kevin, I built the sub you are looking at. I used the plans from the web site and had no problem at all. I did not want something that looks like a water heater in my living room so I used the Adire Alignment. When I have people at the house for a demo it is always nice to see their jaw drop...

    Building Adire Alignment

This may sound nuts but I was having problems with the saw burning. I used a bar of soap for a lubricant. Just touched it a couple of times each hole. It cut great. Steve

Need help on finishing DIY Tempest ....

Jason, I built the same sub. What I did is cover the 4 sides with 1/4 oak plywood. On the corners I butted up 2 pieces of 1 inch wide oak. These oak strips are solid wood 1/4 thick. I picked them up at Home Depot. Once attached I cut a radius on the corner with my router. For the top I used...

Just finished New Tempest Sub, Measurements?

I just finished an Adire Alignment Tempest Sub. It sounds awesome and it is not even broke in yet. Once it is broken in I would like to measure the response characteristics. I have a laptop and an Radio Shack meter. Is there a way to measure this without investing a lot of cash for test...

Tempest / Adire Alignment First Listen

Kerry, Glad that your pleased with the design. I am building the exact same sub. I just cut out the panels to build the box last night. Should be done in a couple of weeks. Can't wait. I have a swimming pool outside about 15 feet from my sub. My goal is to get ripples on the pool. Pretty sick...

Any suggestions on cool looking subwoofer "feet/legs"?

George, That is some fine craftmanship. I have also been debating on what legs to put on and how to finish it. After seeing your design, I have made up my mind. Nice Work!! Steve
